To clear milestone tiers efficiently in the Ziva's Goldrush event in Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story, prioritize completing orders with event point multipliers and cycle low-level customer requests to preserve your energy reserves. Event points come from spending energy on your merge board and turning in completed orders. Because higher milestone tiers require steep point totals, success depends on pacing your energy bottles, managing board clutter, and knowing when to bank resources.
How Event Scoring and Milestones Work
Ziva's Goldrush uses a linear progression track. Every point earned moves you toward sequential reward chests that contain items such as bonus energy bottles, coin bundles, gems, and card packs.
- Energy Expenditure: Tapping generators consumes energy and contributes baseline points toward active milestone requirements.
- Order Turn-Ins: Submitting finished food items to customers provides the primary point bursts needed to advance between tiers.
- Point Escalation: Early tiers unlock rapidly, but point requirements scale upward significantly in mid-to-late tiers, making natural energy regeneration alone insufficient for the final stages.
Order Prioritization Strategy
Fulfilling orders randomly can drain your energy and lock up board space with incomplete item chains. Filter customer orders using three criteria:
- Prioritize Point Multipliers: Immediately fulfill any order marked with an active event multiplier, as these provide the highest point return per unit of energy invested.
- Clear Short-Chain Requests: Complete quick orders requiring level 3 to level 5 items first. These clear board tiles quickly and refresh your order queue to reveal higher-tier opportunities.
- Alternate Generator Types: Work on orders that draw from two different generators. Splitting production between separate lines—such as alternating between beverage and seafood sources—prevents a single generator's cooldown timer from stalling your progress.
Energy Pacing by Milestone Tier
Adjust your resource consumption based on your current tier to avoid exhausting your reserves early.
| Progression Stage | Energy Strategy | Primary Generator Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Early Milestones (Tiers 1–5) | Rely strictly on natural energy regeneration; save stored energy bottles. | Low-tier basic recipe chains for rapid turnarounds. |
| Mid Milestones (Tiers 6–10) | Use daily energy boxes and coin-purchased energy refills. | Balanced production across two distinct item lines to manage cooldowns. |
| Late Milestones (Tier 11+) | Tap banked energy chests and collect unlocked milestone energy bottles. | High-tier complex recipes that yield massive point payouts. |
Do not claim energy rewards from completed milestones if your board is overcrowded. Leave milestone energy unclaimed until you have open tiles and ready generators to prevent energy loss and gridlock.
Managing Board Space During Item Production
Complex recipes generate byproduct items and low-tier drops that quickly crowd your grid. Use these habits to keep your workspace clear:
- Maintain an Open Center: Keep at least five to six connected tiles clear in the middle of your board to assemble high-tier merge chains.
- Anchor Generators to the Edges: Position primary generators along the outer borders to avoid accidental taps that consume energy and drop unwanted items.
- Merge Drop Items Fully: Merge coins and energy items to their maximum level before collecting them to maximize payout per tile.
- Use Inventory Storage: Move inactive generator parts and non-essential quest items into your inventory slots to free active merge tiles during the event window.
Identifying Your Stopping Point
Assess your progress against the remaining event timer before committing premium resources to later tiers. If the remaining milestone tiers require a massive point leap and your active orders demand deep, high-level chains you cannot complete before the event ends, stop spending reserve resources. Settle for your current reward tier and bank your energy chests, gems, and generator drops for the next event cycle rather than spending gems to force incomplete milestones.

This saved me time in the early game.
Can you add more details about strategy in a future update?
Nice guide. I am checking the other Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story articles next.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
