In Hearthstone Battlegrounds, building around a Tier 1 Pupbot works by keeping the unit all game rather than selling it for mid-game tempo. Pupbot starts with Divine Shield, making it a permanent target for Magnetic buffs. Every stat point, deathrattle, and keyword attached to it remains protected behind that shield without requiring an Annoy-o-Module. Once you reach Tier 6, every Magnetic card attached to Pupbot duplicates onto Polarizing Beatboxer, creating multiple high-stat carries.
Core Engine Minions
This build relies on five key Mechs across the tavern tiers to gather resources, scale stats, and duplicate buffs.
| Minion | Tavern Tier | Key Mechanic | Role in Build |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pupbot | 1 | Divine Shield | Base host for all early Magnetic attachments |
| Accord-o-Tron | 3 | Magnetic | Injects bonus gold at the start of each turn |
| Scrap Scraper | 4 | Avenge (4) | Generates random Magnetic Mechs in combat |
| Utility Drone | 4 | End of Turn Passive | Buffs minions based on total Magnetic attachments |
| Polarizing Beatboxer | 6 | Magnetic Passive | Copies any Magnetic minion attached to a friendly Mech |
Early-Game Curve and Resource Setup
Buy Pupbot on Turn 1 if it appears in the tavern. If it does not appear immediately, do not waste gold rerolling the shop on Tier 1.
- Turn 1 (3 Gold): Buy Pupbot.
- Turn 2 (4 Gold): Upgrade to Tavern Tier 2.
- Turn 3 (5 Gold): Sell a token minion or buy the strongest available tempo minion.
- Turn 4 (6 Gold): Buy two minions, prioritizing Mech synergy such as Cogwork Copter or Micro Mummy.
- Turn 5 (7 Gold): Upgrade to Tavern Tier 3.
Once on Tavern Tier 3, search for Accord-o-Tron. Magnetizing Accord-o-Tron directly to Pupbot immediately adds combat stats and generates extra gold at the start of your subsequent turns. Stacking multiple Accord-o-Trons onto Pupbot speeds up your leveling curve toward Tier 4 and Tier 5.
Mid-Game Scaling with Tier 4 Mechs
Tavern Tier 4 provides the primary engines required to outscale opponent warbands:
- Scrap Scraper: Place this minion toward the right side of your board so friendly units die before it. Its Avenge (4) trigger adds a random Magnetic Mech to your hand each time four allies fall in combat, giving you consistent fuel without spending gold in the shop.
- Utility Drone: At the end of your turn, Utility Drone grants your minions +1/+1 (or +2/+2 if golden) for every Magnetic piece fused to them throughout the match. Because you concentrate attachments onto Pupbot, that single unit gains massive end-of-turn stat boosts while preserving your board slots.
Magnetize utility pieces like Lullabot and Replicating Menace directly onto Pupbot to increase its baseline stats, seed deathrattle Microbots for Avenge triggers, and raise the attachment counter for Utility Drone.
Endgame Transition and Polarizing Beatboxer
Push to Tavern Tier 6 once your mid-game board stabilizes. Polarizing Beatboxer is the capstone piece: whenever you magnetize a minion to any friendly Mech, Polarizing Beatboxer gains an exact copy of that Magnetic minion’s base stats, keywords, and deathrattles.
When you attach a Magnetic piece to Pupbot:
- Pupbot gains the stats, protecting them behind its existing Divine Shield.
- Polarizing Beatboxer gains an identical copy of the attached minion.
- Having a second or golden Polarizing Beatboxer repeats this trigger for each copy on your board.
Board Positioning and Tech Matchups
Positioning determines whether your stacked Pupbot survives to trade efficiently:
- First Attack Slot: If Pupbot has the highest Attack on your board, place it first. It pops an enemy Divine Shield or eliminates a major threat while absorbing the return strike with its own shield.
- Handling Leeroy the Reckless: Avoid magnetizing Taunt onto Pupbot. If Pupbot has Taunt, an enemy Leeroy will eliminate your primary investment in a single hit. Magnetize Annoy-o-Module onto a secondary Mech instead to absorb enemy hits.
- Venomous Counters: Pupbot’s innate Divine Shield protects it from one Venomous attack. Place a secondary Divine Shield or high-frequency attacking minion ahead of Pupbot to strip opposing Divine Shields before your carry hits.
- Cleave Protection: Position high-Health deathrattle spawns or secondary Mechs adjacent to Pupbot to absorb cleave damage, keeping backline Utility Drones and Beatboxers safe.

Good guide for Hearthstone players. The base building part was useful.
Can you add more details about base building in a future update?
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
This helped me understand base building much better.
