To get better pets quickly using Gene Splicing in IdleOn - Idle RPG, craft a Gene Splicer tool, place it in your active character's utility tool slot, and defeat monsters on dense maps to harvest world-tier DNA. Take that DNA to the World 4 Breeding facility to buy permanent breeding upgrades and roll for locked species directly, bypassing standard egg incubation timers.

Crafting and Equipping the Gene Splicer

You cannot collect DNA until a character has a splicer equipped. The tool functions only on the specific character holding it; unequipped characters or alternate characters running AFK sessions will generate standard loot without harvesting DNA.

Obtain the Recipe: Acquire the Gene Splicer recipe from the World 4 shop or task board milestones, then deposit it into your Anvil.
