To upgrade your squad efficiently in Invokers: Titan Legacy, funnel your Hero Experience and Gold into a single primary damage carry until that hero reaches their star-based level cap, then expand progression to your frontline tank and Titans. Leveling an entire roster evenly splits scarce resources and causes team progression to stall against campaign bosses.
Invoker Leveling Priorities and Star Caps
Base hero levels drive standard Health, Attack, and Defense increases. Because resource pools are limited during early campaign progression, allocate your Hero Experience and Gold according to battlefield roles rather than splitting them evenly across five units.
| Squad Role | Level Priority | Required Resources | Progression Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Carry (DPS) | 1st (Cap immediately) | Hero XP, Gold | Meets stage damage checks and clears waves quickly |
| Primary Tank | 2nd | Hero XP, Gold | Absorbs frontline damage to protect your damage dealers |
| Core Healer / Support | 3rd | Gold, Skill Books | Sustains team survival without needing maxed base stats |
| Secondary DPS / CC | 4th | Hero XP, Gold | Adds supplementary control once team survival is stable |
Once a hero reaches their star cap, their leveling pauses until you promote them to the next star tier. Star promotion requires sacrificial fodder units or duplicate hero shards along with promotion stones. Each promotion unlocks the next tier of 20 to 40 levels and permanently boosts the hero's stat multipliers.
To avoid progression traps during star ascension:
- Save duplicate copies of high-rarity elite Invokers for their specific promotion milestones.
- Raise farmable rare-tier units to serve as rank-up fodder instead of sacrificing natural high-rarity heroes.
- Never sacrifice versatile supports or attackers for quick short-term promotions, as you will need diverse rosters for faction dungeons and elemental towers.
Skill Tome Allocation
Skill upgrades alter combat pacing through damage multipliers, status effects, and defensive shields. Unlike standard hero leveling, upgrading abilities requires Skill Tomes, which are heavily restricted throughout campaign stages and event rewards.
Because Skill Tomes cannot be refunded easily, invest them using the following criteria:
- Cooldown and duration breakpoints: Prioritize skill levels that lower active cooldown turns or extend crowd-control durations such as stuns, silences, and freezes.
- Carry scaling: Upgrade high-percentage damage skills and ultimate abilities on your main damage dealer first.
- Skip basic attacks on utility units: Delay upgrading standard attacks on support heroes whose primary value comes from passive auras or utility rotations.
Titan Upgrades and Aura Synergies
Titans participate directly in combat by providing passive squad auras and casting heavy field abilities. Upgrading a Titan relies entirely on dedicated Titan experience materials and evolution shards, leaving your standard hero supplies untouched.
Titan upgrades split into three distinct paths:
- Titan Leveling: Spends Titan-specific experience to increase the Titan's base Health, Attack, and Armor.
- Shard Evolution: Consumes Titan shards to unlock tiered passive perks and raise squad-wide aura bonuses.
- Skill Enhancement: Increases the burst damage and secondary effects of the Titan's active battlefield ability.
Select and upgrade a Titan whose passive aura matches your team's damage focus. If your Invoker lineup relies on physical burst damage, invest in a Titan that amplifies physical penetration. Upgrading your Titan’s active ability clears standard minion waves faster, allowing your Invokers to concentrate their attacks on boss targets.
Equipment Enhancements
Equipment provides flat stat increases and percentage-based set bonuses that multiply base stats gained from leveling and star promotions.
To manage enhancement dust and gold efficiently:
- Upgrade low-tier green and blue gear only to the minimum levels needed to clear stage hurdles (typically +4 or +8).
- Save full enhancement investments for Epic and Legendary gear carrying percentage-based secondary rolls, such as Attack Percentage, Critical Rate, or Speed.
- Assign offensive gear sets to damage carries, defensive Health and Armor sets to frontline tanks, and Speed or Energy Regeneration sets to supports so their buffs apply before enemy turns begin.
