To defeat the Normal Wave 6 boss Nimbus in ISEKAI GATE using Rai, stay at mid-to-long range along the arena perimeter, clear summoned minions immediately to keep your movement lanes open, and burst Nimbus during post-attack recovery windows.
Nimbus punishes stationary targets and close-quarters melee range with broad area-of-effect strikes, tracking projectiles, and minion swarms. Rai counters this encounter by staying outside primary telegraph zones while applying sustained ranged damage.
Early Wave Preparation (Waves 1–5)
Entering Wave 6 with full health provides the margin of error needed to survive unexpected area hazards. Protect your health pool during the preliminary waves by maintaining range and pacing your cooldowns.
| Phase | Core Objective | Combat Action |
|---|---|---|
| Waves 1–3 | Health preservation | Funnel standard enemies into tight paths and eliminate them from a distance to prevent chip damage. |
| Waves 4–5 | Cooldown management | Target ranged enemies first. Hold your major burst skills near the end of Wave 5 so they are ready for the boss spawn. |
| Wave 6 Start | Positioning setup | Move directly to the arena perimeter to pull Nimbus away from minion spawn zones into open space. |
Dodging Nimbus's Attack Patterns
Nimbus cycles through directional strikes and ground-targeted zoning hazards. Identifying the telegraph markers lets you evade damage without wasting movement.
- Directional Linear Slam: Nimbus winds up a frontal strike that leaves a damaging trail across the floor. Do not backpedal, as the attack box reaches far forward. Step sharply to the left or right perpendicular to the red line. This places Rai beside the boss to deal uncontested damage during the attack's recovery delay.
- Expanding Hazard Circles: Nimbus marks expanding circular zones that detonate after a brief delay. When the circular indicator flashes, stop firing and sprint to clear ground immediately. Greeding extra attacks during this animation risks taking heavy damage and losing positioning.
Managing Minion Spawns and Boss Recovery
Nimbus periodically summons clusters of secondary minions to restrict your movement lanes. Leaving these adds alive allows them to pin Rai into Nimbus's area attacks.
- Swap targets to incoming adds: The moment minion clusters drop, shift Rai's focus entirely away from Nimbus.
- Clear fast-moving units first: Use Rai’s rapid ranged attacks to eliminate the fastest secondary enemies before they close the distance. Clearing them restores open kiting paths along the arena walls.
- Punish the boss during downtime: After Nimbus executes a heavy ability, the boss pauses in a recovery animation. Step into range and unleash Rai's strongest burst skills while Nimbus is stationary.
- Disengage back to mid-range: As soon as the recovery window ends, retreat back to the perimeter before Nimbus initiates the next attack loop. Repeat this cycle until the boss is defeated.
