To clear Lost Passage with a 3-star rating on Veteran difficulty in Kingdom Rush Vengeance TD+, build your primary kill zone around the central intersection where the lanes merge, support your frontline blockers with rapid physical and ramping magic damage, and use Beresad to wipe dense enemy clusters before they breach your lines.
Tower Loadout
Veteran difficulty sends a mix of fast swarms, armored elites, and heavy bruisers down multiple converging paths. Use this loadout to cover crowd control, single-target execution, and sustained armor shredding:
| Tower | Role | Priority Upgrades |
|---|---|---|
| Shadow Archers | Long-range physical DPS and flying defense | Shadow Blade (chance to execute) |
| Orc Warriors Den | Cheap stall and lane congestion | Promotion, Bloodlust |
| Dark Knights | Tanking high-damage brute attacks | Spiked Armor, Shield of Retribution |
| Melting Furnace | Area-of-effect stun and physical burst | Burning Fuel, Hot Coals |
| Blazing Gem | Continuous magic melt against high-HP targets | Amplified Heat |
Early Chokepoint Setup
Early gold is scarce, so avoid spending resources on the outer entry lanes. Concentrate your defense at the central funnel:
- Place initial blockers at the merge point: Build an Orc Warriors Den or Dark Knights barracks where the lane paths overlap. Set rally points so soldiers stand tightly clustered within tower range.
- Flank with Shadow Archers: Place Shadow Archers adjacent to the barracks set to target the first enemy. This thins out weak runners while your infantry delays heavier targets.
- Position Beresad forward: Hover Beresad slightly ahead of the intersection rather than directly on top of your barracks. His basic breath attacks will weaken approaching lines before enemies reach your soldiers.
- Call waves early: Activate early waves to gain bonus gold, and cast reinforcements or Soul Impact immediately to eliminate early swarms without losing lives. Funnel this gold into upgrading your archers to levels two and three.
Mid-Wave Armor Management
As armored units arrive, basic archer fire and low-tier barracks will stall out without dedicated armor penetration:
- Add a Blazing Gem: Construct a Blazing Gem near the main chokepoint. Its beam damage ramps up over time, melting high-armor bruisers before they wear down your blockers.
- Add a Melting Furnace for crowd control: If groups of shielded infantry threaten to overrun the lane, place a Melting Furnace nearby. The ground stun pauses enemy movement, giving the Blazing Gem time to reach peak heat.
- Micro rally points: Adjust barracks rally flags slightly behind the intersection to pull incoming enemies directly into your overlapping damage auras. If a frontline soldier falls, shift Beresad into the gap to absorb pressure until the garrison respawns.
Late-Wave Execution and Skill Timings
The final waves feature dense mixed groups backed by dangerous minibosses. Clear them by coordinating Beresad's abilities with your defensive cooldowns:
- Max out Shadow Blade: Invest in Shadow Blade on your Shadow Archers to instantly execute high-threat targets regardless of remaining health.
- Bolster Dark Knight survivability: Upgrade Spiked Armor and Shield of Retribution so your knights can endure extended combat against late-wave bruisers.
- Reserve Hellfire for dense clusters: Hold Beresad's active ability, Hellfire, until multiple paths merge at the central kill zone. Drop the blast on heavy target packs to deal true damage across the entire wave.
- Use reinforcements as safety catches: Cast standard reinforcements behind your main line to catch stray runners that slip through, saving hero bursts and active powers for tightly grouped elites.

Nice guide. I am checking the other Kingdom Rush Vengeance TD+ articles next.
Can you add more details about strategy in a future update?
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
This helped me understand strategy much better.
