To avoid wasting speedups and advanced materials in the Kingshot Masters Academy, invest exclusively in the Lethality and Health nodes of your primary troop type, stop at the minimum required level for all prerequisite gateway nodes, and complete long research timers during kingdom scoring events.

Unlike the standard Academy, the Masters Academy features steep cost scaling and diminishing returns. Completing entire trees sequentially will exhaust your resources for negligible stat gains.

Combat Stat Priority in Masters Academy

Flat Attack upgrades in the Masters Academy offer lower practical value than Lethality and Health because hero gear, lord talents, and alliance territory bonuses already provide large additive Attack percentages. Adding small percentages to an already saturated Attack pool creates minimal difference in battle reports.

Prioritize your research order according to stat impact:

Technology StatCombat FunctionUpgrade UrgencyResource Efficiency
Troop LethalityMultiplies outgoing damage against enemy health poolsCritical PriorityHigh
Troop HealthIncreases frontline durability and delays morale collapseCritical PriorityHigh
Troop DefenseReduces incoming normal and skill damageSecondaryModerate
Troop AttackAdds baseline percentage to an already saturated stat poolSituationalLow at deep tiers

Lethality directly increases the number of enemy troops severely wounded, filling opposing infirmaries faster during field fights and rally battles. Health allows your frontline to withstand incoming skill damage, keeping damage output steady over extended rounds.

Focus on a Single Troop Branch

Spreading research materials across Infantry, Cavalry, and Archer trees leaves all three march types underpowered. Masters Academy upgrades require specialized tokens and multi-week timers, making balanced progression counterproductive.

  1. Match your best gear and heroes: Inspect your roster and identify your highest-invested unit type. If your account relies on Infantry commanders and defense gear, commit solely to the Infantry branch.
  2. Push to combat thresholds: Unlock the core Lethality and Health nodes for that chosen troop type before spending materials on alternative branches.
  3. Leave secondary branches locked: Do not invest in secondary or tertiary troop types until your primary unit achieves its target capstone milestones.

Pathing Discipline and Milestone Thresholds

Avoid fully leveling intermediate nodes when pathing toward advanced capstones. If a prerequisite node unlocks the next tier at level 5, stop at level 5. Pushing an intermediate gateway node from level 5 to level 10 drains materials that yield far greater returns when applied directly to deep Lethality and Health milestones.

Similarly, bypass optional utility branches within the Masters Academy, such as standalone march speed modifiers or non-combat training nodes, unless they are strict prerequisites for a required combat gate.

Research Timing and Kingdom Events

Because Masters Academy upgrades carry high power values and extended timers, completing them outside scheduled events wastes significant milestone rewards.

  • Stack passive speed buffs before starting: Never begin a multi-day research project without collecting full Alliance Help, securing an active kingdom research rune, and obtaining the Ministry research title buff.
  • Coordinate completion with scoring events: Time the completion of long research projects or speedup expenditures for KvK Preparation Day 2 or Strongest Kingdom research stages to collect milestone reward chests containing universal shards, equipment materials, and speedups.
  • Let timers run on quiet days: Let research timers progress naturally during mid-week lulls. Reserve generic and research speedups for active event windows where point conversions fund subsequent research tiers.
