To figure out why a squad lost a fight in Last Asylum: Plague: Plague, open your combat logs in the mail interface and check the metrics in the Detailed Results tab. Comparing casualty ratios, hero damage stats, and power differentials reveals whether a defeat stems from poor tank survival, low damage output, missing hero synergy, or stat gaps from research and alliance buffs.

Accessing Combat Logs

All combat results are archived in your mail interface. Open these reports immediately after a fight to review exact snapshot data, including power levels and unit counts at the moment of engagement. Focus on recent losses to analyze fights where your squad failed to perform as expected.

Key Metrics in the Detailed Results Tab

Open the Detailed Results tab inside any battle report to evaluate three core performance areas:

  • Troop Casualty Ratios: Check the breakdown of surviving, wounded, and killed troops. A high count of killed troops—rather than wounded—indicates permanent resource depletion. If your front line drops completely while the opponent's front line remains intact, your squad lacks front-line defense or healing support.
  • Hero Damage Dealt: Look at the Hero Damage Dealt column to verify character roles. If a designated damage-dealer is producing less damage than your support heroes, your setup lacks the equipment, investment, or hero buffs necessary to enable that carry.
  • Power and Stat Differentials: If overall unit power between both squads is relatively equal but you still lose, compare specific stat lines. Inspect laboratory Tech levels and Alliance Buffs to check for missing bonuses in unit health, armor penetration, or movement speed.

How to Test Squad Adjustments

When battle report data shows where your squad is failing, implement targeted adjustments using a clear sequence:

  1. Pinpoint the failure mechanism: Use the report to confirm if backline units are dying early, tanks are collapsing, or overall damage is insufficient.
  2. Adjust one variable: Swap a single hero, adjust unit positions, or replace one piece of gear. Making several changes at once prevents you from identifying which fix actually worked.
  3. Verify results in subsequent logs: Engage in a new fight and compare the fresh battle report metrics against your previous baseline to ensure casualty counts and damage outputs improve.
