To climb into the Top 50 in the Last War 3v3 Brawl Arena, structure your roster into three functional squads instead of stacking all your power into one team. Because victory requires winning two out of three rounds, spreading your combat strength allows you to secure wins against opponents with higher overall power.
Squad Formation Strategy
Placing your best heroes into a single team creates a single strong squad but leaves your remaining two teams vulnerable. If an opponent distributes their power evenly, they will easily take the two rounds needed to win the match.
Divide your hero pool across three distinct roles:
- Main Squad: Your strongest combination of high-tier heroes, built to handle standard frontline engagements.
- Secondary Squad: A capable secondary team that relies on defensive durability and crowd control to win close rounds.
- Tertiary Squad: A functional baseline squad equipped to capture rounds against neglected enemy teams. Leaving this slot empty or severely under-leveled results in an automatic loss for that round.
Hero Positioning and Counters
Position high-health tank units on the frontline alongside heroes that provide shields or healing to absorb initial damage. Place your high-damage burst units in the backline behind these defensive tanks so they can deal damage safely.
When facing established defensive formations, adjust your squad lineups to counter specific defensive mechanics, such as equipping armor-piercing or anti-air hero capabilities to exploit unit weaknesses.
Matchup Selection and Scouting
Inspect your opponent's three defensive squads before spending an arena attempt.
- Target Asymmetrical Lineups: Look for players who put all their high-power heroes into one main squad while leaving their second or third squad weak. Position your two strongest squads against their two weaker lineups. You will concede one round to their main squad but secure the two round wins needed for victory.
- Avoid Flat Power Deficits: Do not challenge players whose weakest squad exceeds the power of your second-best squad, as this usually results in a 2-1 defeat.
Gear, Drone, and Attempt Management
Optimizing your active presets ensures your secondary teams retain high combat effectiveness.
- Shift Gear Sets: Move high-grade gear sets to your secondary and tertiary squads to provide critical accuracy and critical-damage modifiers.
- Align Drone Buffs: Configure your drone settings so that active offensive and defensive buffs support the primary damage dealers in your key squads.
- Filter Daily Attempts: Avoid spending daily attempts on extremely low-power targets that award negligible rank points. Challenge opponents that offer meaningful rank gains only after confirming a viable path to two round wins.
- Manage Reset Timers: Use all available free attempts before the daily reset timer expires. If your rank stalls, pause to adjust gear distribution and hero presets rather than burning attempts on unfavorable matchups.
