To play Vi effectively as a jungle carry in League of Legends: Wild Rift, rush Trinity Force to maximize burst damage, chain your basic attacks with Relentless Force to trigger armor shred, and save your unstoppable ultimate to isolate enemy priority targets during teamfights.

Vi relies on a bruiser item profile that pairs immediate burst with enough durability to survive diving deep into enemy lines.

Rune Choices

  • Keystone: Conqueror stacks adaptive force across extended trades and directly benefits from Vi's attack speed resets.
  • Domination: Sudden Impact grants bonus penetration immediately after you engage with Vault Breaker or Cease and Desist.
  • Resolve: Bone Plating and Overgrowth reduce burst damage taken during early dives and scale your maximum health pool into the late game.

Core Ability Combos

Maximizing Vi's damage requires canceling your basic attack animations with Skill 3 to activate the armor reduction and bonus attack speed from Denting Blows as fast as possible. Never cast Relentless Force by itself if an enemy is within basic attack range.

  1. Standard Burst Trade: Charge and release Vault Breaker (Skill 1) into the target.
  2. Animation Reset: Land a basic attack immediately upon connecting, then immediately cast Relentless Force (Skill 3) to trigger Denting Blows (Skill 2 passive).
  3. Follow-Up: Land a second basic attack and cast your second charge of Relentless Force.

Engaging Elusive Targets

When ganking champions with dashes or Flash, charge Vault Breaker from out of vision. If the enemy holds their mobility spell, save Cease and Desist (Ultimate) until they use their escape. If you lead with Cease and Desist, use its knockup window to walk slightly behind the target, then aim Vault Breaker to knock them backward into your allied laners.

Early Jungle Pathing and Objective Control

Start the match at Red Brambleback to gain bonus attack burn and health regeneration. Vi clears camps quickly by hitting multiple monsters with the shockwave of Relentless Force while using Blast Shield to absorb damage.

  1. Clear Order: Take Red Brambleback, clear Raptors, rotate to Murk Wolves, and secure Blue Sentinel to hit level 3 with high health.
  2. Gank Check: Check mid lane and the adjacent side lane. If an enemy has pushed past the river midline, charge Vault Breaker from the jungle brush for an early gank.
  3. Scuttler and Epic Monsters: Secure Rift Scuttler for river vision. When taking the first Elemental Drake or Rift Herald, pull the monster toward your jungle side. Vi's percentage-health damage from Denting Blows allows her to melt objectives quickly; save Smite for the final burst and use Blast Shield to soak monster hits.

Teamfight Target Priority

Do not play Vi as a front-to-back tank waiting for the enemy to initiate. Your goal in mid-game and late-game teamfights is shutting down the opposing team's main damage carry:

  • Positioning: Wait in unwarded choke points or on flanks rather than standing in the front line soaking poke.
  • Initiation: Wait for the enemy frontline to commit, then cast Cease and Desist directly onto the enemy marksman or primary mage. The unstoppable property ensures you bypass frontline crowd control.
  • Stasis Timing: Execute your full basic attack and Relentless Force burst on the target. If the enemy team turns to focus you, activate your Stasis enchant immediately.
  • Cleanup or Disengage: Once Stasis ends, your Vault Breaker will typically be available to finish off low-health targets with Denting Blows or dash back toward your team.
