To unlock Mythical tier in Legend of YMIR, you must combine four duplicate Legendary summons in the synthesis menu. A successful synthesis grants a Mythical avatar or mount, while a failed attempt consumes three cards, returns one Legendary card, and awards synthesis mileage points. Because failure carries a steep net loss, do not attempt Mythical fusion until you complete relevant codex entries and save diamonds to manage potential re-rolls.

How Mythical Synthesis Works

Mythical is the summon and morph tier directly above Legendary for avatars and mounts. You cannot farm Mythical assets directly from standard low-tier drops. Instead, you must access the synthesis system and supply duplicate cards of Legendary rarity.

Every Mythical attempt follows a fixed set of rules:

  • Material Cost: You must submit four duplicate Legendary cards of the same category (avatar or mount).
  • Success Outcome: The four Legendary cards are consumed, and you receive a random Mythical card from the synthesis pool.
  • Failure Outcome: The fusion fails to produce a Mythical asset. Three Legendary cards are lost, one Legendary card is returned to your inventory, and you gain synthesis mileage points.

Because a failed combine returns one card, you do not lose your entire input. However, losing three Legendary cards per failed attempt makes random gambles costly.

Managing the Codex Before Synthesizing

The most common progression error is burning unregistered Legendary cards for fusion attempts. In Legend of YMIR, adding unique cards to your codex grants permanent, account-wide stats, including accuracy, defense penetration, damage reduction, and flat attack power. These stat bonuses apply to your character regardless of which avatar or mount you equip.

Use this progression guideline to handle duplicate Legendary cards:

Account StageDuplicate StrategyPriority
Early LegendaryRegister all newly acquired cards into the codexBase accuracy, flat attack, and core defenses
Mid-GameComplete multi-card codex setsFarming speed and survivability thresholds
EndgameSynthesize only true surplus duplicatesPeak Combat Power (CP) brackets and Mythical perks

A failed combine that consumed unindexed cards permanently lowers your account's potential stat growth. Only designate a Legendary card as synthesis fodder once its specific codex entry is complete.

Preparation Checklist Before You Fuse

Execute each step in order before starting a Mythical synthesis:

  1. Lock Equipped Gear: Lock your active Legendary avatar and mount in your inventory to prevent accidental selection during synthesis.
  2. Audit the Codex: Check your collection menu to confirm none of the four selected duplicates can complete an uncollected stat milestone.
  3. Check Diamond Reserves: Ensure you have enough diamonds stored to pay for re-rolls in case the resulting Mythical does not match your class archetype.
  4. Review Mileage Milestones: Check your current synthesis mileage gauge to confirm whether an unsuccessful attempt will trigger a safety-net reward threshold.

Handling Re-Rolls and Failed Attempts

Securing a Mythical pull does not guarantee an immediate upgrade if the card rolls stats suited for a different combat archetype. When a Mythical synthesis succeeds, the game places the item into a temporary confirmation pool. During this window, you can spend diamonds to re-roll the result a limited number of times before claiming it permanently.

Each consecutive re-roll costs significantly more diamonds than the previous one. To avoid exhausting your resources, establish a firm stopping threshold beforehand: accept any Mythical card that matches your primary damage type (physical or magical) rather than spending heavily to pursue a single cosmetic design.

If the synthesis fails, stop immediately. Do not burn secondary lower-tier assets or equipped cards in an attempt to recover your losses. Bank the returned Legendary card, collect the mileage progress, and wait until regular gameplay yields another full set of surplus duplicates.
