To build an effective combat force in Legends of Norheim, align your squad under a single element to activate passive attribute bonuses, then concentrate your upgrade resources on that core team. Spreading experience scrolls and gold across multiple elements dilutes your squad's combat power and slows your early campaign progression.

How Elemental Synergy Works

Matching Immortals of the same element—such as Fire, Water, Earth, or Wind—grants passive attribute boosts to your entire formation. A full single-element squad triggers the highest tier of these stat bonuses, giving your team higher offensive or defensive scaling in both PvE encounters and player combat.

If you do not have enough Immortals to form a full single-element squad, fill the remaining slots with utility heroes that supply healing or crowd control. Adding a random element without useful utility disrupts passive synergy without adding tactical value.
