For Magic Sort! levels 1231–1239, focus on the colors exposed at the tops of bottles and use empty bottles to make useful transfers. This is a general approach, not a move-by-move solution for each level.
Manage empty bottles carefully
Before pouring, check whether the move will consolidate matching colors or uncover a color you need. If it does neither, it may use space without opening another useful move.
When you have only one empty bottle, keep it available for a transfer that helps consolidate a color or expose a buried one. If no useful move remains, undo earlier moves if that option is available, or restart and try a different opening.
Work from exposed colors toward buried ones
Look at the top layers first. Moving an exposed color can reveal the layer beneath it, giving you new options for later pours. Avoid moving a partial stack if doing so would leave a needed color harder to reach.
Use these checks before each transfer:
- Can the color pour into an available bottle with the same color?
- Will the move expose a color that can be sorted next?
- Will it leave enough open space for another useful transfer?
The draft does not provide level-specific bottle layouts or exact move sequences, so use these checks to plan each board rather than relying on a fixed sequence.

This guide answered the exact question I had.
This saved me time in the early game.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
Good guide for Magic Sort! players. The strategy part was useful.
