To clear levels 2854 through 2860 in Magic Sort!, keep at least one empty bottle available as a temporary buffer, shift top colors to expose trapped lower layers, and prioritize completing single-color bottles as quickly as possible to free up active board space.

Unstacking Multi-Colored Containers

Late-game levels present dense, highly mixed stacks. Moving forward requires systematically peeling off top layers rather than trying to complete full colors immediately.

  • Treat top layers as active resources: Move top colors into empty vessels to open access to the colors beneath them.
  • Target bottleneck colors: Identify colors trapped at the very bottom of multi-colored bottles. Priority should go to clearing the layers sitting on top of these trapped colors so they can be moved.
  • Avoid premature fills: Do not fill a bottle completely with a single color if that color is still required as a bridge to clear top layers in other columns.

Managing Empty Bottle Buffers

Empty bottles provide the workspace needed to untangle complex arrangements in levels such as 2856 and 2859. Reserving one or two open slots prevents deadlocks when multiple colors block each other.

  1. Park secondary colors: Shift a non-target color into an empty container temporarily to unblock the column you are actively sorting.
  2. Expose second-layer keys: Use empty slots to hold single layers while accessing second-layer colors that unlock other stacks.
  3. Consolidate to regain space: As soon as a full bottle of one color can be finished, complete it. Removing a completed color set opens a container permanently for the rest of the puzzle.

Level 2860 features tighter movement constraints and less tolerance for splitting colors across multiple containers. If move options run low, colors are likely spread too thinly. Pause and check if any top layer can be consolidated onto an existing stack of the same color to free up an additional working slot.
