To clear levels 369 and 370 in Magic Sort!, prioritize creating an empty bottle as early as possible. Use that free container as a staging area to peel away upper liquid layers and unblock matching colors trapped at the bottom of full bottles.

Step 1: Create an Early Empty Bottle

Before making your first pour, scan all initial bottles to locate containers with only two or three liquid layers. Moving top layers out of these containers lets you clear a full bottle quickly.

Having at least one empty bottle provides the open space needed to execute multi-step transfers. Moving colors into an empty bottle is far more productive than shuffling top layers between partially filled bottles without opening up space.

Step 2: Peel Layers to Reach Trapped Colors

Once an empty bottle is available, use it to temporarily hold top layers that block desired colors underneath.

  1. Identify the target color: Find a color buried at the bottom of a container that needs to be grouped with matching units elsewhere.
  2. Peel upper layers: Move the blocking colors into your empty buffer bottle or onto matching exposed colors in other containers.
  3. Consolidate: Transfer the revealed target color into a single destination container until that color group is complete.
  4. Target small stacks first: Clear colors that have the fewest total units remaining across the board to reduce active color types quickly.

Avoid shifting top layers back and forth between two bottles without freeing a slot. Every move should work toward clearing a container or completing a single color stack.

Step 3: Prevent and Handle Gridlocks

A gridlock occurs when all bottles contain mixed colors and no open spaces remain to accept incoming pours.

  • Watch container capacities: Overfilling containers with mixed colors early limits future moves.
  • Track move efficiency: If your choices stall into repeated surface shifts, stop and evaluate the board state.
  • Use reset options: If no progress is possible toward freeing a container, use the available undo function or restart the stage to reset the initial arrangement.

Board Management Checklist

  • Scan the entire board to locate trapped bottom colors before taking action.
  • Target bottles with the fewest distinct colors to make your first empty container.
  • Keep at least one container free whenever possible to maintain room for layer transfers.
  • Focus on completing one full single-color bottle before opening another complex transfer chain.
