To beat Level 1247 in Match Factory!, clear top-layer target items immediately and keep your holding tray strictly limited to a maximum of four occupied slots. This stage features a tall physics pile where buried objectives are pinned beneath bulky non-target clutter. Success requires fulfilling your top-bar quota before the timer expires without clogging your seven-slot tray.

Tray Management Rules

Your seven-slot tray is the primary failure point on this level. When slots fill up with mismatched items, you lose the ability to grab three-of-a-kind sets.

  • Cap holding slots at four: Never carry more than two incomplete pairs at once. This leaves three open slots, allowing you to pick and instantly clear a full triplet.
  • Confirm all three pieces first: Do not pick up solitary target pieces or pairs unless you can clearly see the remaining matching item on the board.
  • Stop speculative grabbing: Avoid picking easy clutter just to clear space unless you are ready to complete the full three-piece set.

Level 1247 Clearing Progression

Work from the surface downward. Because items shift under physics when underlying pieces are pulled, dragging objects from deep in the stack causes the pile to collapse unpredictably, burying targets even further.

PhaseBoard FocusTray LimitPriority Action
Opening (100%–75% time)Top surface and outer perimeter0–2 slotsClear fully exposed target triplets immediately.
Mid-Game (75%–30% time)Dense center pile2–4 slotsMatch wide clutter only when it frees trapped target pieces.
End-Game (Final 30% time)Bottom floor items0–3 slotsRush remaining target sets; ignore residual clutter entirely.

Handling Non-Target Clutter

Non-target items on Level 1247 share silhouettes and colors with required objectives, creating visual confusion. Match non-target pieces only when they directly obstruct your goals:

  • Prioritize wide items: Clearing triplets of large, wide objects uncovers significant surface area, often exposing multiple target items at once.
  • Leave small clutter alone: Small non-target items displace very little bulk when cleared. Spending time and tray slots to remove them wastes precious clock seconds without improving board visibility.

When to Use Boosters

If your tray fills or the timer runs short, deploy boosters to recover:

  • Vacuum Cleaner: Use when several tray slots are open but target items are buried out of reach. The Vacuum pulls objective pieces automatically from the pile, clearing quota requirements and shifting the stack.
  • Spring or Fan: Use when your tray holds five or six items and no matching thirds are visible. The Spring removes immediate blockages, while the Fan reshuffles the pile to shake hidden items to the surface.
