To beat Level 399 in Match Factory!, clear visible checklist targets from the surface of the pile first and maintain at least three empty slots in your bottom tray. Level 399 features a tall, physics-driven mound of items under an active stage timer. Picking loose items without having their complete triplets in view will clog your tray and cause a quick loss.

Tray Management Rules

Your tray holds a maximum of seven items. If all seven slots fill up without forming a matching triplet, the stage ends immediately. Keep incomplete sets to a minimum to maintain room for maneuvering.

Grab unblocked checklist items: Scan the outer perimeter and the upper slopes of the pile. Pick objective items that sit freely on top.
Clear wide structural blockers: When targets are buried, remove large, bulky non-target items in complete sets of three. Removing large pieces allows the pile to settle and roll outward, exposing hidden objective items beneath.
Scan before tapping: Confirm all three pieces of a non-target set are reachable before sending any of them into your tray.
Check the board edges: Spherical and cylindrical objects frequently roll down the sides of the central mound. If you cannot find the final piece of a set in the middle, inspect the bottom corners of the play area.

When to Use Stage Boosters

Fan: Use when target items are trapped deep within a dense cluster. The Fan shuffles the board, tossing buried objects to the surface without requiring you to clear junk clutter first.
