To beat the Super Hard stage Level 809 in Match Factory!, clear fully visible goal triplets from the surface first and keep at least three slots open on your bottom tray at all times. Do not tap an item unless all three matching pieces are visible and reachable, or you risk filling your seven-slot tray before clearing your primary targets.
Maintain Tray Space and the Two-Tap Rule
Running out of room in the bottom tray is the primary failure condition on Super Hard stages. With only seven slots available, filling five or six slots leaves no margin for error when searching for matching pieces.
| Tray Slots Filled | Status | Required Action |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 2 slots | Safe | Pick pairs freely when a third piece is partially visible. |
| 3 to 4 slots | Moderate caution | Only pick items when all three pieces are fully uncovered. |
| 5 to 6 slots | Critical danger | Match items already in the tray; do not introduce new items. |
| 7 slots | Failed run | Out of moves; board locks unless a booster or continue is used. |
To stay within the safe zone, follow the two-tap rule:
- Locate your target item on the pile.
- Visually confirm the exact locations of the second and third matching items before touching the screen.
- Tap all three in rapid succession so they clear immediately and refund your tray slots.
- Only hold two matching pieces in your tray if you have four or more empty slots remaining.
Clear Surface Clutter to Expose Hidden Goals
Level 809 stacks required mission items underneath non-essential filler pieces. Pulling buried items directly shifts the physics of the pile and often buries the remaining matches you need.
- Target wide, flat clutter first: Oversized objects block the most surface area and conceal smaller goal items underneath.
- Match unblocked non-goal triplets: When no mission items are readily available as full triplets, clear an exposed set of bulky non-goal items to cause the pile to settle and shift outward.
- Avoid pulling partials from deep layers: Never pull a single trapped goal item out from under a pile if doing so causes loose debris to cover other accessible matches.
Pace Matches to Handle the Timer and Physics
Super Hard stages introduce tight timers, but frantic tapping leads to mis-taps as objects roll and slide.
- Scan by section: Mentally split the board into left, center, and right zones instead of searching across the entire pile at once.
- Pause for physics to settle: Allow the objects roughly half a second to stop shifting after a match before tapping the next piece.
- Tap in confirmed sets: Once you spot all three items, tap them sequentially rather than banking individual items while looking around the board.
When to Use Boosters on Level 809
Save utility boosters for late-stage recovery rather than using them on the opening layout:
- Use reactive tools at five slots: If your tray fills to five slots with incomplete sets and no third match is visible on top, use a tool like the Vacuum or Spring to clear the bottleneck.
- Reserve time boosts for the final stretch: If the timer drops below 20 seconds and you have two or fewer incomplete goals remaining, activate an extra-time boost or clearing explosive to finish the board.
