To clear Match Factory! levels 900 through 903 without failing the timer or overflowing your tray, maintain at least two open slots at all times, remove large structural items to expose buried objectives, and collect rare targets before clearing abundant surface clutter.

Tray Capacity Management

The holding tray provides seven total slots. Allowing four or five unmatched items to sit in the tray severely restricts your ability to extract buried target items. Monitor your current tray fill level to determine your immediate action:

Tray Fill LevelRisk AssessmentTactical Action
1–3 Slots FilledSafeExcavate buried objective targets, even if matching items are partially covered.
4–5 Slots FilledHigh CautionStop uncovering new pieces. Scan the board only for items that complete an existing set.
6 Slots FilledCritical DangerTap only a fully visible item that completes an immediate triple, or deploy a booster.

Target Clearing Hierarchy

Levels 901 through 903 split requirements between abundant surface items and low-volume, deeply concealed pieces. Clearing high-volume surface targets first often leaves low-volume objectives trapped at the bottom with insufficient time remaining. Clear boards using this priority sequence:

  1. Locate scarce mission objectives: Check the objective bar for items requiring the lowest counts, then locate their physical positions in the pile.
  2. Clear load-bearing obstacles: Remove non-target items only when they directly pin down or obscure your scarce targets. Clearing large edge pieces causes the mound to settle, exposing recessed objectives.
  3. Batch surface targets in complete sets: Only collect abundant mission items when two or three sit adjacent and fully visible, allowing you to cycle them through the tray in a single continuous clear.

When to Use Boosters

Deploy boosters proactively when board physics prevent manual clears rather than waiting until the tray completely fills:

  • Vacuum: Use when you hold two copies of a scarce objective in your tray and the third is buried beneath heavy clutter.
  • Spring: Use when oversized items form a dense canopy over the board. The Spring tosses surface pieces upward to expose flat, small items underneath.
  • Fan: Use as an emergency reset when five or six tray slots are occupied and no visible matches exist on the board.

Opening Board Routine

Before making your first tap on levels 900 through 903, pause for three to five seconds to locate at least two complete sets of matching items. Clearing these two triples immediately guarantees an empty tray after your first six taps, prevents early clutter, and establishes clear sightlines to the base layer.
