Match Fighters on PC is a strategy game that combines grid-based merge puzzles with tower defense and auto-battle combat. Your role is to build an army from scattered fighter pieces, improve that army through carefully planned merges, and defend your castle against successive waves of enemies. The preparation phase is the heart of each encounter: you drag matching pieces across the grid and merge groups of 3, 4, or 5 to create increasingly powerful warriors. Special L-shaped and T-shaped combinations can unlock elite fighters with more devastating abilities, making the shape and placement of every move important rather than treating the board as a simple matching exercise. Because your moves are limited, you must decide whether to create another basic unit, work toward a stronger merge, or save space and resources for a more valuable combination. Once your formation is ready, press FIGHT and the game shifts into an auto-battle sequence, with your fighters automatically charging into enemy waves while you respond with well-timed support and upgrades.

The six fighter classes give the merge system a tactical foundation. The Footman provides balanced melee strength, the Warrior delivers fast sword-based damage, and Tanky serves as a heavy frontline unit capable of pushing enemies back. Behind or around them, the Archer supplies precise ranged attacks, the Wizard clears groups with area-of-effect magic, and the Bomber uses an explosive kamikaze attack to wipe out clusters. Building a useful army means considering how these roles work together instead of focusing only on individual power. Your castle is another part of the defensive plan: upgrading it from a basic stronghold toward an attack fortress can unlock auto-attack, rapid fire, area damage, and knockback abilities that continue to matter as enemy waves become more demanding. Dragon Pets add another layer to that setup. The Fire Dragon rains fireballs over enemy groups, the Poison Dragon creates damaging toxic pools, and the Ice Dragon freezes and slows approaching threats, so upgrading the right companion can complement the weaknesses of your current fighters.

Between waves, Match Fighters uses a roguelike progression structure built around random upgrades and Wave Cards. Choices such as Arrow Rain, Ninja Assassin, Snowball Slam, and Bomb Strike let you customize a run, while the changing challenges make each battle require a different response. Boosters provide emergency tools when a defense starts to fail: the Turret deals heavy damage for 15 seconds, Shield grants all fighters an invincibility barrier, and Extra Move gives you another chance to improve the grid when your limited actions have been exhausted. Boss battles, including the Ice Boss, Fire Boss, and Forest Boss, add encounters with distinct mechanics rather than simply larger groups of ordinary enemies. Across runs, you can upgrade fighters, the tower, pets, and cards, then test your results against Global and Local leaderboards. On PC, the larger display makes it easier to inspect the entire merge grid, track open spaces, compare the positions of frontline and ranged units, and follow multiple enemy groups during a wave. Keyboard-and-mouse control is also well suited to repeated drag-and-drop merges and precise booster placement, while a wider screen helps you read combat information and judge when to deploy a Turret, Shield, or Extra Move. The result is a game that can support quick, idle-friendly battles while still rewarding deliberate planning before every FIGHT command.
