To clear the "Life Is But a Dream" story stage (Chapter 01: Reversion Paradox - 1) in Mecharashi, eliminate all enemy forces within six turns by setting up aggro range in Turns 1–2, removing enemy support units in Turns 3–4, and burning down the remaining threats in Turns 5–6.

Turns 1–2: Positioning and Aggro Control

The encounter begins with room to maneuver, giving you time to set up your formation before taking damage.

  • Group Units Wisely: Keep your mechs close enough to cover one another, but space them out to prevent enemy area-of-effect (AoE) attacks from hitting multiple targets at once.
  • Control the Perimeter: Position your primary damage dealers right at the outer edge of the enemy's attack range by the end of Turn 2.
  • Force the Enemy's Hand: Let the enemy vanguard move forward into your striking zone first rather than rushing into the middle of the grid unprotected.

Turns 3–4: Target Selection and Flanking

During the middle turns, priority target selection determines whether you stay within the strict turn limit.

  • Target Support Enemies First: Focus damage on support-type enemies before attacking front-line mechs. Leaving support units active allows them to heal and buff their allies, prolonging combat unnecessarily.
  • Execute Flanking Attacks: Move high-mobility units around enemy flanks to form a pincer movement. This splits enemy focus and opens opportunities to break individual target mechs quickly.
  • Maintain Action Efficiency: Avoid purely defensive actions that do not contribute to securing kills or taking key terrain. Every turn must reduce enemy numbers or setup a kill for the next unit.

Turns 5–6: Terrain Utilization and Final Push

The stage ends after Turn 6, requiring aggressive actions to clear the board without losing units.

  • Use Environmental Cover: End unit movement behind cover to reduce the accuracy and damage of incoming strikes, preventing your mechs from entering a forced repair state.
  • Expend Stored Resources: Unload all saved energy and powerful special abilities during Turns 5 and 6 to burst down surviving targets.
  • Focus Fire: If any high-health enemies remain, focus your entire team's attacks on triggering a break to neutralize their counter-attack potential and finish the stage.
