To solve the 5 Door Maze in Miners Settlement, enter the doorways in the sequence 2 – 4 – 1 – 5 – 3, counting the five identical portals from left to right in each chamber. Selecting any incorrect doorway immediately fails the puzzle and resets your character back to the entrance room.

Door Numbering and Reset Rules

Each chamber presents five unlabelled portals along the upper wall. To follow the solution, assign numbers based strictly on their horizontal order:

  • Door 1: Far-left portal
  • Door 2: Second portal from the left
  • Door 3: Center portal
  • Door 4: Fourth portal from the left (second from the right)
  • Door 5: Far-right portal

The maze contains no checkpoints. If you step through the wrong doorway at any stage, you return to Room 1 and must execute the entire sequence from the start.

Execution Sequence

  1. Room 1: Move past the first door on the left and enter Door 2.
  2. Room 2: Head right and step into Door 4.
  3. Room 3: Walk all the way to the left wall and enter Door 1.
  4. Room 4: Cross the chamber to the far right wall and enter Door 5.
  5. Room 5: Return to the middle of the room and enter Door 3.

Preventing Accidental Resets

Most sequence failures occur from touch movement errors rather than picking the wrong number:

  • Orient before moving: Always count from the far-left wall as position 1. Do not invert your counting when approaching from the right side.
  • Avoid diagonal pathing: Diagonal inputs can brush the collision box of an adjacent door frame. Move horizontally along the bottom of the room until your character aligns directly below the target doorway, then walk straight up through the threshold.

Claiming Rewards

Passing through Door 3 in Room 5 teleports you directly into the treasure chamber. Open the primary chest to collect your coins, crafting materials, and quest progression items. Once finished, leave through the exit portal to return to the settlement.
