Monster Super League: Water Mona First 6-Star and Leveling Guide

To establish a reliable early farming routine in Monster Super League, build Water Mona to Evolution 3 (Monak) and raise her to 6-star level 60 before investing heavily in natural 5-star units. Mona's kit combines rapid self-healing with constant area-of-effect damage, allowing her to solo story stages while power-leveling three fodder units.

Why Water Mona Is the Best First 6-Star

Natural 5-star Astromons require scarce Gleems and high-tier materials to evolve, leaving their base stats low during early progression. In contrast, Mona is a natural 3-star Astromon whose duplicates drop directly from campaign stages. This accessibility allows you to reach Evolution 3 quickly without spending premium resources.

Her skills sustain her without requiring a dedicated healer on your team:

• 3-Star Passive (Morale Boost): Increases her own SP generation on normal attacks, charging her active skill in one to two turns.
• 5-Star Active (Life Siphon): Restores her HP relative to the damage dealt by her area-of-effect wave attack.

Once ascended to 6 stars, Mona’s higher baseline Attack scales her active damage high enough to defeat enemy mob waves, while her increased HP and Defense allow her to survive incoming damage between skill cycles.

Evolution and Ascension Progression

Before spending high-tier ascension materials, confirm that your base Water Mona has usable gem slots, preferably with one or two Square slots to simplify gem farming. Never ascend a temporary duplicate.

• Gem Sets: Run a Valor Set (+20% Attack) or a Conviction Set (+20% Resist) collected from Pagos Coast and Phantom Forest.
• Main Stats: Equip ATK% / ATK% / HP% across your three slots. Two Attack percentages ensure her wave clear restores her health pool completely, while an HP percentage gem protects her from being burst down by stage bosses.
• Upgrades: Upgrade all three equipped gems to at least +12. Leaving gems at baseline ranks reduces Mona's damage output below the threshold required for self-sufficient healing.
