Mythic Survivors Weapon Evolution Recipes and Pairings

To evolve a base weapon into its Mythic form in Mythic Survivors, you must upgrade the active martial skill to its maximum level, hold at least one rank of its corresponding passive catalyst stone, and then open a gold chest or defeat an elite monster. Fulfilling these conditions triggers an ascension option that replaces the base skill with an upgraded Mythic weapon featuring wider hitboxes, continuous damage, or explosive secondary effects.

How Weapon Evolution Works

Ascending an ability requires dedicating one active skill slot to the weapon and one passive accessory slot to the matching catalyst stone. Leveling an active skill to maximum without holding its catalyst will not trigger an evolution.

Follow these steps during a run to complete an evolution:

Select an active martial skill and upgrade it to its maximum level threshold.
Acquire the matching passive stone in an accessory slot. The stone only needs to be acquired (rank 1); it does not need to be maxed.
Defeat an elite mob or open a gold treasure chest to trigger the evolution reward.
Select the Mythic variant to replace the base skill in your active loadout.

Half-Moon Slash into Full Moon Slash

Half-Moon Slash begins as a narrow, frontal crescent strike. Pairing it with the Moonstone evolves it into Full Moon Slash, turning the directional slash into a full 360-degree whirlwind cleave around your character. This form boosts critical strike chance and continuously pushes enemies back, making it an essential tool for preventing dense horde compressions from swarming you.

Guardian Sword into Eternal Guardian Sword

The standard Guardian Sword summons orbiting blades that strike nearby enemies intermittently. Combining it with the Eternal Stone creates the Eternal Guardian Sword. This upgrade eliminates attack downtime, adds more blades to the barrier, and expands their orbital radius. It functions as an automated defensive ring, allowing you to focus on movement and boss patterns while swarming melee fodder dies upon contact.

Ki Blast into Grand Ki Detonation

Ki Blast fires directional energy spheres at nearby targets. Pairing the skill with its energy catalyst ascends it into Grand Ki Detonation. Instead of a single projectile, the evolved skill launches a barrage of energy spheres that detonate upon hitting targets, dealing high-damage area explosions that pierce through grouped elites.

Build Order and Inventory Management

Because active and passive slots are limited in each run, committing to your evolution route early prevents dead inventory slots.

Secure crowd-control evolutions first: Prioritize Full Moon Slash or Eternal Guardian Sword early. Dense melee waves will overwhelm directional attacks, so securing a 360-degree perimeter weapon ensures you survive mid-stage mob surges.
Grab catalysts on sight: If the Moonstone or Eternal Stone appears early in a run, take it even if you have not found the accompanying weapon yet. Holding the catalyst guarantees you can trigger the ascension immediately once the weapon reaches maximum level.
Hold chests for maxed skills: Avoid opening gold treasure chests while your main weapon is sitting just below its maximum level. Max the skill first so the next chest drop guarantees your Mythic evolution roll.
Diversify ranges: Pair a close-range barrier like Eternal Guardian Sword with a projectile evolution like Grand Ki Detonation to eliminate distant elite targets without stepping into hazard zones.
