Setting Up Tool Shortcuts

Using the radial menu shortcut wheel allows you to swap tools while moving, preventing unnecessary inventory menus during cleanup.

1. Open your inventory and assign the axe, pickaxe, and shovel to accessible slots on the radial menu.
2. Practice selecting tools using the flick-and-select input motion while walking between target objects.
3. Switch tools immediately upon moving from one material type to another to maintain continuous movement while harvesting.

Clearing Environmental Debris

Natural obstacles block building placement and provide essential early crafting supplies. Use the specific tool designed for each debris type to preserve stamina and equipment condition.

Focus your initial inventory capacity on high-value resources like wood and stone. Leave lower-tier foliage on the ground if your storage space becomes full.

Mapping Your Base Layout

Before placing permanent structures, survey your starting area to establish efficient layout paths:

• Walk the perimeter of your land to locate fixed terrain features, including natural water sources and clearings.
• Use camera view controls to rotate the camera, checking for elevation changes, hidden corners, and interaction boundaries.
