To travel between celestial bodies in Petit Planet during the Final Beta, open your in-game radial menu, select the transit option, and select an unlocked destination node from the map view. Interstellar travel uses this star-hopping system to transition your character between home bases, resource gathering sites, and social hubs.

How to Initiate Planetary Travel

Follow this sequence to move between planets using the star-hopping interface:

  1. Finish active animations: Wait for your character to complete any building or interaction animations before opening menus, as active actions can cause delays in the transit interface.
  2. Access the transit menu: Bring up the radial menu and select the transit option to load the planetary map view.
  3. Locate your destination node: Examine the connection lines between your current planet and target landing sites. If multiple nodes are grouped closely together, use the UI zoom function to focus on specific planetary clusters.
  4. Confirm destination: Select an available node to initiate instant transit to that planet.

Progression Locks and Restrictions

Access to new planets depends on your progression status and node unlock state:

  • Node Unlocks: You must unlock individual transit nodes on the cosmic map before you can set them as landing points.
  • Level and Quest Gates: High-level or story-restricted planets require specific player progression levels or quest completions. If you attempt to jump to an locked area, the system displays a UI notification and cancels the travel request.
  • Node Status Cues: Visual cues around destination nodes highlight current location status, such as active events or high player density.

Maximizing Travel Efficiency

While planet-to-planet loading is fast, frequent menu toggling can slow down your progression.

  • Consolidate planetary objectives: Finish all local tasks—such as inventory clearing, NPC conversations, and material harvesting—before opening the transit menu to travel elsewhere.
  • Avoid high-traffic social hubs during heavy load: If active player numbers are visible in the UI, avoid high-traffic destinations when running on lower-spec hardware to prevent performance dips.
