To attract Mewtwo in Pokémon Quest, cook the Ambrosia of Legends a la Cube recipe by placing at least one slot of Mystic Shells into your cooking pot alongside precious ingredients or Rainbow Matter. Mewtwo cannot be summoned from standard type-specific or color-based stews.
Ambrosia of Legends Recipe Tiers
The specific ingredients you pair with Mystic Shells dictate the quality tier of Ambrosia of Legends. While all tiers draw from a shared legendary pool, your recipe choice affects your odds of rolling Mewtwo specifically.
| Recipe Quality | Ingredients per Slot | Attracted Pokémon Pool |
|---|---|---|
| Good | 1 Mystic Shell, 4 Precious Ingredients (or Precious / Soft mix) | Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo |
| Very Good | 1 Mystic Shell, 3 Precious Ingredients, 1 Rainbow Matter | Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo |
| Special | 1 Mystic Shell, 4 Rainbow Matter (or 5 Mystic Shells) | Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew |
Brewing a Good or Very Good dish gives you better targeted odds for Mewtwo. Cooking a Special dish adds Mew to the encounter pool, which dilutes your chances of rolling Mewtwo.
Cooking Pot Tiers and Stat Ceilings
The pot tier you select dictates the total ingredient cost per cook and grants permanent baseline bonus stats to the summoned Pokémon:
- Iron Pot: 3 ingredients per slot (15 total; 3 Mystic Shells minimum). Summons lower-level Pokémon with +0 bonus stats.
- Bronze Pot: 10 ingredients per slot (50 total; 10 Mystic Shells minimum). Summons mid-level Pokémon with +50 base HP and ATK.
- Silver Pot: 15 ingredients per slot (75 total; 15 Mystic Shells minimum). Summons high-level Pokémon with +150 base HP and ATK.
- Gold Pot: 20 ingredients per slot (100 total; 20 Mystic Shells minimum). Summons near-level-100 Pokémon with +300 base HP and ATK.
Use an Iron Pot only if you have a low shell count and strictly want to unlock Mewtwo in your Pokédex. For clearing late-game content, save your shells until you can cook with a Gold Pot. The permanent +300 bonus to base HP and ATK cannot be matched through Power Stones or standard leveling.
Farming Mystic Shells and Managing Timers
Mystic Shells drop exclusively in World 12 (Happenstance Island). Boss waves in stages 12-3 through 12-9 feature legendary encounters that drop shells upon defeat, with stage 12-9 offering the most reliable drop rates.
Ambrosia of Legends takes between four and six completed expeditions to cook. To evaluate your rolls quickly without risking failed runs on high-tier stages while your pot sits idle, spend PM Tickets to bypass the remaining expedition countdown immediately after loading your ingredients.
Evaluating Your Mewtwo
Once Mewtwo arrives at base camp, inspect its move slots, Power Stone socket spread, and Bingo Bonuses to determine its viability.
Move Slots
Aim for a Mewtwo with exactly one move slot and three linked Move Stone sockets. A two-move Mewtwo splits socket availability, limiting your ability to optimize support uptime or damage loops.
- Buffer (Bulk Up): Equip three Share Stones. This ensures maximum party-wide Attack and Defense buffs with 100% uptime.
- Attacker (Psychic): Equip damage-focused Move Stones such as Wait Less and Whack-Whack to increase sustained burst.
Socket Layout and Bingo Bonuses
- Support Build: Look for 4 to 5 HP sockets so Mewtwo can survive boss hits on stage 12-9 while maintaining buffs.
- Offensive Build: Look for 6 to 7 Attack sockets, and pair them with Power Stones that roll Hit Healing sub-stats.
For Bingo Bonuses, prioritize Standard Attack Wait Reduction, Movement Speed, or Psychic-type Wait Time Reduction. Faster standard attacks trigger Hit Healing more frequently between special move cooldowns, keeping Mewtwo alive through late-game waves.
