A larger display helps keep the cauldron, ingredients, and other work areas easy to read while you handle these repeated preparation steps, and mouse input is well suited to the careful, physical interactions that define Potion Craft. Keyboard input is also useful when you are naming a newly invented potion or writing a custom label description, turning shop organization into a more comfortable part of the routine rather than a chore on a smaller screen.

The main strategic layer comes from the Alchemy Map, where you plan routes to combine different effects and create new recipes. Your decisions are not limited to whether a potion works; you also need to consider whether there is a market for the result. The store’s example of a poisonous healing potion captures the game’s central tension: unusual experiments may be possible, but selling them can have consequences. Each day, customers arrive with problems to solve, and choosing what to sell them shapes the shop’s future. You can attract guilds, befriend notable figures, or feud with them, gradually building riches and influence until your decisions may affect the fate of the whole town. Ingredient management adds another layer to the business. Traveling merchants offer supplies for a price, while successful haggling can protect your money; alternatively, you can grow ingredients yourself and reduce your dependence on expensive purchases. Potion Craft also gives you control over presentation. You can change a bottle’s shape, label type, icon, and colors, then add a custom name and description before arranging your creations on the shop’s shelves and tables. On PC, the larger screen makes it easier to inspect the Alchemy Map, follow a planned route, and keep track of the visual details of your collection while managing the shop. The result is a game loop that moves from gathering or growing ingredients, to experimenting at the cauldron, to selling the finished potion, learning from the consequences, and using the proceeds and relationships to expand what you can do.
