Puzzle & Dragons on PC brings together two familiar formats in one constantly expanding adventure: a match-3 puzzle game and a monster-collecting RPG. You take the role of a team builder and dungeon challenger, assembling a lineup of monsters before entering dangerous stages filled with fierce foes. Battles begin with a simple rule: match three orbs of the same color to trigger an attack from the corresponding monster on your team. The depth comes from how you arrange those matches. Chaining multiple combos and matching multiple colors can increase your damage, while the other monsters in your lineup can unleash their own attacks as your puzzle play creates opportunities for them. Each encounter therefore asks you to read the available board, decide which matches will produce the most useful result, and make your team’s abilities work together rather than relying on a single powerful creature.

That team-building layer gives Puzzle & Dragons its long-term structure. The game offers more than 10,000 unique monsters, ranging from cute companions to formidable dragons, and their potential combinations support a wide range of lineups. Monsters can synergize with one another to improve their effectiveness in battle, so collecting is only the beginning: you also need to consider which creatures belong together and which team best suits your preferred approach. As your collection grows, evolution becomes another important decision. Monsters can unlock greater potential by changing into new, more powerful forms, and the available evolution paths let you shape your collection according to your priorities. On a larger PC display, it is easier to review your monster roster, compare potential team members, and keep track of the choices involved in evolving a favorite monster. Keyboard-and-mouse input can also make repeated management tasks more deliberate, from selecting a lineup to moving through menus and choosing the next dungeon, while the larger view gives the orb board and combat information more room to read during a difficult battle.

The dungeon structure extends beyond standard fights. Story Dungeons combine challenging battles with tales featuring powerful leaders and legendary dragons, giving you specific adventures to pursue as you continue strengthening your lineup. Multiplayer Dungeons add a cooperative objective, allowing you to team up with friends and test whether your monster combinations and puzzle decisions work effectively alongside another player. Friends can also exchange IDs to recruit one another’s monsters for support in battle, providing another way to strengthen a lineup before taking on demanding content. In-game messaging and other social features connect these systems to the wider Puzzle & Dragons community, while regular events and updates keep the collection and dungeon experience developing over time. The result is a loop of entering dungeons, matching orbs to defeat enemies, collecting and improving monsters, refining evolution choices, and returning with a more effective team.
