To complete a champion fusion in RAID: Shadow Legends, stockpile your resources weeks in advance and only spend them when multiple event schedules overlap. Missing a single milestone can cause an entire fusion attempt to fail. Success requires banking 5 to 7 Sacred Shards for summon thresholds, saving 30 to 40 million silver for gear upgrades, and holding inbox energy refills until Dungeon Divers and dungeon tournaments run simultaneously.

Traditional vs. Fragment Fusions

Identify the fusion structure as soon as Plarium announces the event schedule, as the mechanics dictate your inventory demands.

AttributeTraditional FusionFragment Fusion
MechanicFuse 16 Rares into 4 Epics, then into the LegendaryCollect 100 Champion Fragments across event milestones
Storage NeedHigh (vault space, food champions, leveling materials)Low (fragments accumulate directly in the Summoning Portal)
Potion CostHigh (requires Arcane and Affinity Ascension Potions)None
Point ForgivenessModerate (winning an Epic in a tournament bypasses 4 Rares)Low (must reach 100 fragments; missing one event can ruin the run)
Summon TimingImmediate (must fuse Epics and Legendary during fusion window)Flexible (can hold 100 fragments indefinitely for future events)

If entering a traditional fusion, pre-farm Arcane, Magic, Spirit, Force, and Void Keeps before the event begins. You must level all 16 Rare champions to rank 4 level 40 and fully ascend them, then level the 4 fused Epics to rank 5 level 50 and ascend them before claiming the Legendary.

Shard Strategy: Summon Rush vs. Champion Chase

Summoning milestones are the primary failure point for most accounts. Two distinct summoning events appear during a standard fusion, each scoring under different rules.

Summon Rush

Summon Rush awards points strictly according to the type of shard pulled, regardless of champion rarity:

  • Mystery Shard: 1 point
  • Ancient Shard: 20 points
  • Void Shard: 120 points
  • Sacred Shard: 500 points

Bank 5 to 7 Sacred Shards exclusively for Summon Rush to reach the milestone safely. If your Sacred stock is short, purchase green Mystery Shards from the market daily. Opening several hundred to a few thousand Mystery Shards bridges point deficits without consuming premium gems.

Champion Chase Tournament

Champion Chase awards points based on the rarity of the champion acquired, not the shard consumed. To clear points efficiently:

  • Open Ancient Shards only if an active 2x drop rate event coincides with the tournament to maximize Epic and Legendary pull rates.
  • Claim permanent fusion champions like Relickeeper or Broadmaw from the portal during this window.
  • Claim previously earned fragment champions, daily login rewards, or Clan Shop fragments during the tournament. Each summoned Legendary provides an immediate 500-point boost toward the milestone.

Energy Management and Dungeon Overlaps

Dungeon Divers events require the highest total energy investment across the fusion calendar. Never run standalone Dungeon Tournaments (Dragon, Fire Knight, Spider, or Ice Golem) unless a Dungeon Divers event is active at the same time.

Running dungeons during overlapping events awards simultaneous progress toward the specific tournament and the general Dungeon Divers milestone from the same artifact drops.

Dungeon TargetEnergy EfficiencyPractical Use
Stage 20 NormalHighest event points per energy spentBest choice for tight energy budgets
Stage 24 / 25 NormalLower point-to-energy ratioRun only if farming specific end-game gear sets
Stage 10 HardHigh point yields, chance at Mythical gearRecommended only for fast, reliable teams

Save daily energy refills and Clan activity rewards in your inbox until an overlap window opens. Running Stage 20 Normal during active overlaps cuts total gem and energy consumption significantly compared to running events separately.

Silver Budgeting for Artifact Enhancement

Expect two to three Artifact Enhancement events per fusion. Each event consumes roughly 15 to 20 million silver to complete depending on upgrade RNG.

Enter the fusion cycle with at least 30 to 40 million silver. Use these methods to minimize silver loss:

  • Pre-upgrade gear: Before the fusion begins, roll stored rank 5 and rank 6 artifacts to levels 8, 11, or 15. When the event launches, finish the final upgrade to levels 12 and 16 for immediate points.
  • Focus on rank 6 artifacts: Upgrading rank 6 gear to level 16 yields the highest point values per successful upgrade.
  • Sell dungeon surplus: Immediately sell substandard artifacts acquired during your Dungeon Divers runs to maintain your silver pool.

Champion Training Efficiency

Champion Training events reward points for leveling champions, ranking them up, and applying skill tomes.

Prepare rank 3 and rank 4 food champions in advance rather than starting from scratch. To maximize training points per point of energy:

  • Feed 1 XP brew to every rank 3 food champion before sacrificing them.
  • Feed 3 to 4 XP brews to every rank 4 food champion before sacrificing them.
  • Farm campaign Stage 12-3 on Brutal difficulty only while an active XP boost is running.

Preparing your food roster and potions prior to the fusion schedule ensures all daily energy can be diverted straight into dungeon milestones as they unlock.
