Save your Mortal Soulstones and pull them exclusively during 2x boost events in RAID: Shadow Legends. Under normal drop rates, Mortal Soulstones mostly yield 1-star and 2-star Rare souls. A 2x event doubles the drop rates for Epic and Legendary Perfect Souls, giving you the best return on your free summoning resources without requiring premium Immortal or Eternal Soulstones.

How 2x Mortal Soulstone Summoning Works

During a 2x event, your chances of pulling higher-tier Epic and Legendary souls from Mortal Soulstones are doubled. However, the soul summoning pool includes every summonable champion in the game. Even with doubled rates, the odds of pulling a high-rank soul for a specific champion you currently use remain low.

Mass summoning during these events should be treated as a two-part progression strategy: pulling random high-value souls directly, and recycling unwanted drops into Soul Coins to purchase targeted Split Souls from the Soul Merchant.

Soul Inventory Management and Locking Priorities

Mass summoning fills your Soul Storage quickly. Expand your storage slots with Silver before starting a session to avoid hitting the inventory cap mid-pull.

Lock the following souls immediately upon summoning to prevent accidental bulk sales:

  • High-Tier Souls for Core Roles: Lock high-rank Epic, Legendary, and Mythical souls even if you do not yet own the champion. This includes Clan Boss unkillable enablers, speed leads, and top Hydra debuffers.
  • Brimstone Candidates: Keep any 1-star Legendary soul. The Brimstone blessing applies the Smite debuff to deal percentage-based damage against Clan Boss and Iron Twins, making even entry-level Legendary souls valuable.
  • Cruelty and Phantom Touch Candidates: Keep mid-to-high rank Epic souls for multi-hit champions to shred defense or add supplemental damage in Dungeons and Faction Wars.
  • PvP Utility Souls: Preserve mid-to-high rank souls suitable for Polymorph to counter debuff-heavy Arena teams.

Selling Unwanted Souls for the Soul Merchant

Mortal Soulstone sessions generate numerous 1-star Rare souls and redundant duplicates. Sell these excess souls in bulk at the Altar of Souls to obtain Mortal and Immortal Soul Coins.

Soul Coins serve two progression paths:

  1. Reinvesting in Soulstones: Purchase additional Mortal Soulstones to complete active summon event milestones.
  2. Trading for Essence: Exchange higher-tier Soul Coins for Immortal and Eternal Soul Essence. Essence allows you to buy specific Split Souls directly from the Soul Merchant, removing summon randomness for your primary roster.

How to Stockpile Mortal Soulstones

To maximize each 2x summoning window, build your stone inventory through daily farming:

  • Run Iron Twins Fortress Daily: Spend your natural daily keys on the Iron Twins Fortress.
  • Prioritize Sunday Farming: Buy key refills on Sundays, when all affinity keeps open simultaneously and drop double rewards.
  • Buy Clan Shop Stones: Purchase the weekly Mortal Soulstones from the Clan Shop using your accumulated Clan Gold.
