To progress efficiently during your first 30 days in RAID: Shadow Legends, focus your resources on taking your starter champion to rank 6, level 60, and clearing Campaign stage 12-3 on Brutal difficulty. Spreading experience across multiple champions early creates a severe account bottleneck. A single level 60 damage dealer provides the stats needed to farm stage 12-3 solo, power-level lower-tier fodder, and anchor your first Clan Boss team.

30-Day Milestone Roadmap

Follow these target benchmarks to keep your early account progression on schedule:

TimelinePrimary ObjectiveKey Benchmark
Days 1–7Clear Normal and Hard CampaignStarter reaches rank 5; equip 4-piece Lifesteal gear
Days 8–14Push Brutal Campaign to stage 12-3Starter hits rank 6, level 60; solo farm clear under 30 seconds
Days 15–21Unlock masteries and farm early gearFull masteries secured; Clan Boss team members reach rank 5
Days 22–30Push Normal and Hard Clan BossSecure top chests daily; establish stable runs in Dragon stage 13+

Power Your Starter Champion to Rank 6

Do not level four or five champions to level 40 or 50 simultaneously. One rank 6 champion at level 60 possesses far higher base HP, Attack, and Defense than an entire team of rank 5 champions. Kael is the most common starter choice due to his area-of-effect damage and poison debuffs, but whichever starter you choose must receive your early food champions until reaching rank 6.

Equip your starter with the 4-piece Lifesteal artifact set rewarded through new-player daily logins or early campaign clears, along with a 2-piece Speed or Cruel set. Aim for these primary stats on bottom-row gear:

  • Boots: Speed
  • Gloves: Critical Rate (aiming toward 100%)
  • Chestplate: Percentage Attack or Percentage HP

Once fully leveled, your starter can solo Campaign stages while carrying three common or uncommon "food" champions to earn experience.

Farm Campaign Brutal 12-3 for Silver and XP

Unlocking stage 12-3 on Brutal difficulty serves as your primary leveling engine. Stage 12-3 provides near-optimal champion experience alongside the highest silver return per energy spent in Campaign. Shields drop from stage 3, and shields sell for higher silver values in your inventory than other artifact types dropped in stage 12.

Use this stage to raise 2-star uncommon fodder into 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star rank-up material. Tune your starter's Speed and Critical Damage so stage clears take under 30 seconds, turning your daily energy refills directly into account growth. Avoid farming stages 1 through 11 on Brutal once stage 12-3 is unlocked, except when required by progress missions.

Allocate Early Gems to Masteries and the Gem Mine

Gems are limited in the early game and should not be spent on single Ancient Shard pulls at the portal. Spend your gems using this priority order:

  1. First 800 Gems: Purchase all masteries directly for your primary rank 6 damage dealer. Unlocking Tier 6 masteries immediately awards Warmaster or Giant Slayer, drastically raising damage against bosses without forcing you to spend thousands of energy running low floors of Minotaur's Labyrinth.
  2. Next 1,500 Gems: Fully unlock all three levels of the Gem Mine. The Gem Mine pays for itself in roughly 100 days and provides passive, permanent gem generation for future energy refills.
  3. Subsequent Gems: Use remaining gems for energy refills or unlocking slots in the Sparring Pit to passively level champions without consuming energy.

Assemble an Early Clan Boss Team

Demon Lord Clan Boss provides the game's best recurring daily rewards, including Sacred Shards, Void Shards, and Epic and Legendary Skill Tomes. By day 20, shift your focus from solo campaign farming to building a five-champion squad targeting daily reward chests on Normal and Hard difficulty.

Build your team around these core buffs and debuffs:

  • Decrease Attack (50%): Halves the boss's incoming damage, allowing your champions to survive past round 15.
  • Poisons (5%): Delivers fixed percentage damage based on boss HP. Champions such as Kael and Frozen Banshee excel here.
  • Decrease Defense (60%) and Weaken (25%): Multiplies raw skill damage and Warmaster hits across your whole team.
  • Speed Boosts and Turn Meter Fillers: Champions such as High Khatun (obtained on day 30 from daily login rewards) let your team act before the boss attacks.

Equip your Clan Boss champions in Lifesteal sets so the damage dealt by Tier 6 masteries restores their HP every turn.

Early Resource Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Farming Low-Stage Dungeons: Running Dragon, Fire Knight, or Ice Golem below stage 13 wastes energy on 4-star and low-tier rare gear with poor stats. Rely on campaign drops and the Market for gear until your team can reliably clear Dragon 13 for guaranteed 5-star drops.
  • Misusing High-Tier Skill Tomes: Never feed Epic or Legendary Tomes to Rare champions. Legendary Skill Tomes are exceptionally rare; save them for high-impact Legendary champions whose cooldown reductions are required for mid-game progression.
  • Over-Ascending Non-Essential Rares: Do not ascend random Rare champions past 3 stars unless they are required components for permanent fusion champions like Relickeeper or Rhazin Scarhide.
