RAID: Shadow Legends UNM Clan Boss Debuff Setup

To transition a Clan Boss team from Nightmare (NM) toward a 1-key Ultra-Nightmare (UNM) run in RAID: Shadow Legends, swap inconsistent champions for guaranteed debuffers and strict debuff bar management. High damage output on UNM depends on maintaining high-value debuffs while keeping your team alive long enough to deal cumulative damage across dozens of turns.

Manage the 10-Debuff Limit

The Clan Boss can hold a maximum of 10 debuffs at one time. Low-value debuffs take up slots that should belong to core damage and survival effects.

Audit your team's skills to prevent useless or weak debuffs from capping the bar:

• Prioritize 5% Poison over 2.5% Poison: Replace champions who apply 2.5% Poison debuffs with multi-hit or guaranteed 5% Poison applicators.
• Disable unwanted skills: Adjust champion AI settings to disable A1 or A2 abilities that apply minor speed reductions or weak poisons.
• Reserve slots for essential utilities: Ensure room remains on the boss for Decrease Attack, Defense Down, Weakness, Poison, and Poison Sensitivity.

Secure Decrease Attack Uptime

Survival is the primary factor limiting turn counts in UNM fights. If Decrease Attack drops for even one boss turn, your team risks an early wipe from the boss's area-of-effect (AOE) attacks.

1. Use an A1 Decrease Attack Champion: Select a champion who can land Decrease Attack on their default A1 skill rather than relying solely on longer cooldown abilities.
2. Aim for High Base Chance: Prefer skills with a guaranteed or near-100% chance to land the debuff before enemy resistance checks.
3. Place Debuffs Before Damage Dealers: Tune turn order so your Decrease Attack and debuff-extending champions act before your primary damage dealers.

Speed Tuning and Skill Timing

Team coordination outweighs raw stat values when scaling up to UNM. Unsynchronized skill cycles cause defensive buffs to drop before major boss hits.

• Align Defensive Cooldowns: Cast defensive buffs like Ally Protection or Increase Defense immediately before the boss uses AOE strikes.
• Maintain Debuff Extenders: If running champions who extend debuff durations, ensure their turns fall right after your main debuffers apply 5% Poison and Decrease Attack.
• Evaluate Champion Utility: Replace low-utility damage dealers with support units or debuff extenders if debuffs regularly drop before key boss phases.
