Do not rely on x30 Progressive Chance events in RAID: Shadow Legends to guarantee a specific featured champion. The x30 multiplier only alters champion pool weight after a legendary champion is successfully rolled; it does not increase the base chance of pulling a legendary champion. Because high-volume summoning sessions can end without securing the target, your immediate action before opening shards should be establishing a strict spending limit, keeping reserves for guaranteed champion events, and pulling only when secondary milestones like Clan vs. Clan (CvC) tournaments are active.

How x30 Progressive Chance Events Work

During an x30 Progressive Chance event, the game singles out specific champions—such as Tekteon—to receive an increased drop rate relative to other champions of the same rarity. However, this boost has structural limits:

• Base Drop Rates Remain Unchanged: The x30 multiplier does not boost your odds of getting a legendary champion out of a shard. If you enter a dry spell without pulling a legendary, the x30 multiplier remains completely dormant.
• Pool Weighting, Not Exclusivity: The x30 bonus increases the relative weight of the featured champion within the legendary pool. It does not clear standard legendary champions or duplicates from the pool.
• No Pity Guarantee for Featured Targets: Unlike guaranteed champion milestones, progressive chance boosts do not enforce a target-specific pity threshold.

The Risk of High-Volume Summoning

A creator session highlights the inherent volatility of progressive chance events: spending 315 shards during a CvC event while targeting Tekteon does not assure getting the featured champion. High shard counts can easily be depleted on non-target legendary pulls or standard filler.

To limit account setback when chasing a specific champion, evaluate your resources using three criteria before spending shards:

• Event Synergy: Align shard pulls with active CvC tournaments, Champion Chase events, or fusion milestones. Points earned toward secondary tournament rewards offset the risk of missing your target champion.
• Guaranteed Event Reserves: Retain sufficient shards to reach fixed milestone targets in future guaranteed champion events, which mathematically remove chance from the outcome.
• Roster Necessity: Assess whether the featured champion resolves a critical progression bottleneck or simply adds luxury utility. If your roster lacks fundamental capabilities, broad account progression options offer better value than chasing single targets.
