To progress through The Black Tea War event in Resonance Solstice, complete the combat stages for [BTW] A Taste, travel to Freeport VII, and check in at the BCRL (Black Tea Research Lab) facility. Completing this opening route unlocks event trade routes and the BCRL reward exchange.

Clearing the "[BTW] A Taste" Combat Encounter

The combat trial in "A Taste" pits your squad against mixed waves of front-line armored units and agile disruptors. You must protect your backline while maintaining enough damage output to beat the stage timer.

Team Roles

• Frontline Vanguard: Absorbs opening burst damage, draws enemy aggro, and cycles shields.
• Cost Generator and Buffer: Cycles low-cost cards rapidly to supply energy for your squad's heavier skills.
• Area-of-Effect (AoE) DPS: Uses piercing or wide-range attacks to eliminate clustered minions before the timer expires.
• Healer or Cleanser: Holds reactive healing cards to recover from enemy burst attacks that bypass standard shields.

Combat Strategy

1. Conserve high-cost skills early: Avoid activating high-cost ultimate cards on the vanguard minions in wave one.
2. Cycle energy generators: Play low-cost utility and shield cards to fill your squad's energy gauge while keeping the frontline stable.
3. Wipe minion clusters: When the main enemy wave appears, fire your AoE skills simultaneously to clear out supporting mobs.

Once "A Taste (Clear)" is complete, plot your train's route to Freeport VII.

Upon arrival, enter the city district and access the BCRL node. Submitting tokens earned from combat and deliveries raises the local research tier, which reduces trading taxes on regional tea blends and unlocks additional exchange tiers.

Before departing Freeport VII on return runs, empty unneeded regular freight so your train has adequate cargo hold capacity for event-exclusive commodities.

Spend earned event tokens in the following order to maximize progression:

1. Limited Summon Tokens and Growth Permits: Clear these first, as they are unavailable through regular daily farming after the event ends.
