To survive Homer Nightmare in Roblox, you must keep moving constantly, manage your line of sight in narrow spaces, and use map geometry to break the pursuing entity's pathfinding. Because the antagonist moves fast and actively checks common hiding spots, standing still in corners or dead-end rooms quickly leads to defeat.

Maintain Constant Movement and Plan Exits

Momentum is your primary survival tool. Treat every room as a transitional zone rather than a safe area.

  • Identify Next Exits Early: Always locate a secondary route out of a room before entering it.
  • Avoid Dead Ends: Do not enter hallways or rooms that lack an alternative exit unless you know the entity is elsewhere.
  • Hug Corridor Edges: When navigating long hallways, walk along the walls to maximize your sightline and reaction time if the entity rounds a corner ahead.

Narrow corridors limit your ability to dodge or maneuver around the threat. The entity's collision area can catch players who try to hide behind thin furniture or wall edges.

  • Use Wide Camera Angles: Walk through tight corridors with your camera pulled back and angled toward your rear to monitor potential pursuit.
  • Conserve Sprinting: Walk when the immediate path is clear to maintain your stamina meter. Reserve full sprinting for moments when a pursuit is confirmed.
  • Avoid Sudden Movements in Chokepoints: Unnecessary sprinting causes camera shake and visual clutter, which can obscure incoming audio cues.

Track Proximity with Audio Cues

Audio cues provide early warning before the entity enters your visual line of sight.

  1. Listen for Proximity Shifts: Pay attention to shifts in ambient audio and distinct entity sound triggers.
  2. Orient the Camera: When a sound plays, rotate your camera immediately to confirm which direction the threat is approaching from.
  3. Gauge Distance: If the sound volume escalates, sprint toward an open space. If the volume fades, you have successfully widened the gap and can drop back to a walk.

Escape Pursuit Using Map Loops

The map layout features interconnected rooms and large central obstacles that can be used to outmaneuver the AI.

  • Lead Pursuers Around Loops: If chased, run the entity around a central structure or through a ring of connected rooms. This forces the AI pathfinding to navigate corners, creating extra separation.
  • Double Back to Objectives: Once you establish a gap using a loop, double back to clear an exit path or interact with necessary objective points.
  • Keep Loops Away from Targets: Do not loop the entity near your final escape point, as doing so can inadvertently block your exit route.
