To unlock the Super Light Ball in Royal Match, you must win ten consecutive levels during the event without failing. Once activated, every standard Light Ball you create on the board automatically becomes a Super Light Ball. Instead of clearing a single color, the Super Light Ball targets two colors simultaneously. This upgrade remains active on every subsequent level until you fail a stage.

Super Light Ball Mechanics and Comparison

A standard Light Ball forms whenever you match five identical tiles in a straight horizontal or vertical line. Under normal conditions, swapping a Light Ball with an adjacent tile removes all pieces of that color from the board.

When the Super Light Ball perk is active, any five-tile match creates an upgraded disc with enhanced clearing power:

Combo ConversionConverts 1 color into the paired boosterConverts 2 colors into the paired booster
DurationSingle-use item crafted on the boardPersistent across levels until a stage is failed

Because the Super Light Ball removes two colors at once, it clears substantial board space in a single move. This massive reduction in tile variety triggers large automatic cascades, reshuffling the board and speeding up target collection.

Super Light Ball Booster Combos

Swapping a Super Light Ball with another booster distributes that booster's effect across two full color pools instead of one.

  • Super Light Ball + Propeller: Converts every tile of two colors into Propellers. When launched, they fly directly toward level goals, clearing obstacles like mailboxes, shields, and cups.
  • Super Light Ball + Rocket: Transmutes all tiles of two colors into vertical and horizontal Rockets. The resulting volley sweeps rows and columns across the entire grid.
  • Super Light Ball + TNT: Swaps two full colors for active TNT barrels. The widespread explosions break through multi-layered obstacles such as chains and ice.
  • Super Light Ball + Super Light Ball: Swapping two Super Light Balls triggers a two-stage board wipe. The first wave clears all current tiles and damages obstacles; the second wave detonates incoming tiles immediately after they drop.

Pair the Super Light Ball with Propellers on collection-focused stages where objectives are scattered across the board. Reserve TNT and Rocket combinations for maps restricted by dense barriers.

Aligning Five Tiles on the Board

Generating Light Balls consistently requires scanning the grid for potential five-tile lines rather than settling for four-tile matches:

  1. Spot Split Pairs: Look for two matching tiles on one side and two on the other, separated by a single mismatched piece.
  2. Locate Offset Sets: Look for three matching tiles in a row with a fourth and fifth matching tile located in an adjacent row or column.
  3. Drop Columns Into Place: Clear tiles below an offset piece to slide it into the target line instead of triggering an immediate four-tile Rocket match.
  4. Hold Before Detonating: If move counts allow, spend one or two turns guiding a Propeller, Rocket, or TNT adjacent to your Super Light Ball rather than triggering it alone.

How to Protect Your Win Streak

Failing a level resets your streak counter to zero, immediately stripping away the Super Light Ball perk until you win ten stages in a row again. Protecting an active streak requires proactive play:

  • Equip Pre-Stage Boosters: On difficult stages, select starting Rockets, TNT, or claim Butler's Gift bonuses before entering. These pre-spawned items let you clear initial barriers on your first turn.
  • Check Color Density: Before triggering a standalone Super Light Ball, check how many matching tiles of the two target colors are currently visible. Making a neutral match elsewhere can allow more target tiles to drop onto the board, maximizing the clear.
  • Spend Coins on Move Extensions: If you reach your final moves and remain just short of completing your objectives, spend 900 coins for five extra moves. Rebuilding a ten-stage streak costs more lives and potential resources than securing a guaranteed win with a coin extension.
