To complete the final mission of Saints Row: The Third on Hardcore difficulty, you must combine aggressive target prioritization with active cover rotation. Because Hardcore difficulty significantly boosts enemy accuracy and damage output, standing in the open will quickly deplete your health bar and force a mission restart.

Priority Target Elimination

In final-act engagements, dense enemy waves can quickly overwhelm static defenses. Target high-threat enemies immediately upon entering a zone to reduce incoming pressure:

• Stationary Turrets: Destroy these first whenever they appear in the area. Mounted weaponry represents the highest potential damage-per-second threat to your character.
• Elite Enforcers: Focus fire on these heavy units right as you enter a zone to prevent them from locking down your position with heavy firepower.
• Flanking Support Units: Neutralize enemies moving around your sides before refocusing on the main frontal wave to keep your defensive lines intact.

Combat Movement and Cover Rotation

Static cover will eventually fail under sustained enemy fire on Hardcore difficulty. Maintain survival and keep ammunition stocked by managing your positioning:

1. Leverage Architectural Choke Points: Force enemy groups into narrow pathways so you can clear incoming waves with high-impact weaponry while limiting their ability to attack simultaneously.
2. Peek from Cover: Fire short, controlled bursts at target groups, then immediately break line of sight to allow your health to recover.
3. Rotate Defensive Positions: When enemy fire heavily suppresses your position or threatens your cover, sprint to a new cover point to throw off enemy targeting and prevent flank attacks.
4. Scavenge During Wave Lulls: Wait until an enemy wave is thinned out before leaving cover to gather dropped ammunition, using sprint to minimize time spent exposed in open areas.
