Combo and Burst Setups

Forestcraft: Magachiyo Four-Card Triggers

Magachiyo, Convict of Treachery grants your Condemned followers Storm and Bane on Turn 7, creating an unblockable 20-damage burst. To unlock this effect, you must play at least four cards in a single turn across four distinct turns during the match.

  1. Conserve low-cost tokens: Save 0-cost Fairy Wisps, bounce spells, and 1-play point Condemned cards rather than spending them on defensive trades in the opening three turns.
  2. Trigger thresholds sequentially: Aim to hit your four-card threshold on Turns 4, 5, 6, and 7.
  3. Cycle for Magachiyo: Use Condemned enforcers and card-drawing Wardens to dig through the deck for your three copies of Magachiyo before Turn 7 arrives.

Swordcraft: Barbaros Dread Pirate Flag

Swordcraft relies on Barbaros, Convict of Treachery to push direct damage by discounting the Dread Pirate Flag token. Playing Condemned cards reduces the cost of the Flag. Chip leader health in the opening turns with pirate followers, then deploy Barbaros on Turn 7 alongside a 0-cost Dread Pirate Flag to bypass enemy Wards for game-ending Storm damage.

Bloodcraft: Garodeth Wrath Bursts

Bloodcraft centers on triggering the Wrath state by taking damage on your own turn seven times. Once Wrath is active, Garodeth, Convict of Wrath becomes your finisher. When Garodeth enters the board and you take four separate instances of self-damage within that same turn, he evolves automatically and gains Storm to strike through enemy defenses.

Runecraft: Sephie Test Subject Transmutation

Runecraft builds around Sephie, Convict of Pandemonium and the Test Subject fusion mechanic.

  • Fuse Condemned followers into Sephie to transmute them into Test Subjects.
  • Play and destroy early Test Subjects to raise their destruction count.
  • Upon reaching five destroyed Test Subjects, subsequent copies gain stat increases, Ward, and Storm. Chain multiple enhanced Test Subjects alongside Sephie on Turns 6 through 8 for lethal burst damage.

Board-Centric and Control Strategies

Dragoncraft: Armed Form Shifts

Armed Dragoncraft relies on cycling Armed followers like Hammer Dragonewt and Lance Lizard. Once four Armed followers leave play, Laevateinn Dragon unlocks its alternate modes:

  • Defense Form: Stabilizes against aggressive matchups.
  • Attack Form: Punches through opposing boards to push direct damage between Turns 5 and 7.

Portalcraft: Cutthroat Singleton Loops

Cutthroat, Convict of Single-Mind requires building a singleton list containing no duplicate cards, with the sole exception of Condemned cards. Evolving Cutthroat grants a permanent leader effect for the rest of the battle: whenever you play an Enhance card, your play points refund up to the original cost minus the surcharge. From Turn 7 onward, chain sequential high-cost Enhance effects to clear boards and close games with unblockable burn damage.

Shadowcraft: Departed Soultaker Reanimation

Shadowcraft focuses on burying specific followers during Turns 1 through 4 to curate a high-impact graveyard. On Turn 8, Departed Soultaker's Fanfare revives this curated pool at once, creating a lethal board featuring a mix of Wards, Bane units, and Storm threats.

Havencraft: Elluvia Healing Engines

Havencraft uses Elluvia and Subherent Sanctuary to turn sustain into offensive pressure. Each instance of leader healing triggers escalating stat buffs across your followers. Protect your board with defensive Wards and maintain card flow through draw amulets to continually generate wide, heavily buffed boards that aggressive decks cannot clear.
