For active online farming in Slayer Legend, farm stages ending in 4 (XX-4) at the highest stage number your area-of-effect skills can clear without stalling. If your kill speed slows down significantly after entering a new zone, drop back to the preceding zone's Stage-4 node. When logging off or closing the game client, park your character at your absolute highest unlocked stage instead.

Online vs. Offline Farming Rules

The stage you should select depends entirely on whether the game client is running or closed.

Offline progression relies on an automated calculation that scales strictly from the highest stage cleared. It does not simulate active combat, meaning skill builds, monster pack density, and clear speeds have no influence on your offline rewards.

Online farming simulates live battle continuously. Because drop chances for equipment, monster souls, dice, and enhance cubes roll per enemy kill rather than per completed wave, your rewards per hour correlate directly with your active kills per minute.

ModeCalculation BaseStage SelectionGoal
OfflineHighest stage clearedHighest unlocked stagePush maximum progression
Online (High AoE)Kills per minute (18 mobs/wave)Highest one-shot Stage-4 (XX-4)Maximize drop volume
Online (Fallback)Kills per minute (4 mobs/wave)Current zone Stage-2 (XX-2)Preserve speed when AoE fails

Why 18-Mob Stages Yield More Loot

Standard progression stages, such as those ending in 2, spawn 4 monsters per wave. Stages ending in 4 spawn dense waves of 18 monsters.

Because drops roll on each monster death, a single wave on a Stage-4 node offers over four times the potential loot rolls of a Stage-2 node. As long as your character eliminates 18-monster packs quickly, Stage-4 nodes deliver significantly higher gross material rates over time.

How to Test Your Clear Speed

To verify whether your current Stage-4 node is efficient:

  1. Observe two consecutive wave spawns.
  2. Check if your main area attacks wipe the 18 monsters almost instantly upon arrival.
  3. Confirm that completing the wave and boss takes no longer than 15 to 20 seconds total.

If your character gets swarmed, takes prolonged damage, or waits through multiple cooldown cycles to finish a single wave, that stage is too slow for optimal farming.

What to Do When 18-Mob Stages Stall

When transitioning into a higher zone, scaled enemy health pools may prevent your abilities from wiping 18-monster waves in one rotation. You have two adjustments:

  • Drop back to the previous zone's Stage-4 (Recommended): Moving from a newly unlocked node (such as 164) back to the prior zone's Stage-4 (such as 154) keeps the 18-monster density while restoring fast, one-shot wave clears. This approach consistently yields more loot per hour than fighting fewer monsters in a higher zone.
  • Switch to Stage-2 in your current zone: If you prefer staying in the current zone to target its specific drop pool, farm the 4-monster waves on XX-2. This lowers incoming damage and reduces health pools on screen, allowing narrow attacks to clear waves without stalling.

Online wave clearing requires continuous mobility and wide area coverage rather than single-target boss burst. Long-animation abilities such as Giga Strike or Dragon Mount slow down trash-mob clearing and should be swapped out.

Equip low-cooldown, wide-range abilities to keep 18-monster waves clearing immediately:

  • Supersonic: Closes distance to new spawns immediately, removing walking downtime.
  • Fulgous: Provides instant, wide-area burst to wipe clustered packs on spawn.
  • Blizzard: Deals sustained, full-screen damage over time to hit incoming enemies.
  • Flame Wave: Fires wide projectile coverage across advancing enemy lines.
  • Red Lightning: Chains rapid damage across clustered targets to finish remaining stragglers.
