- Pause combat.
- Select a target or choose an action for your character or a companion.
- Queue additional commands as needed.
- Resume combat and pause again if you need to adjust your party’s actions.
If the party is taking heavy damage, pause and assign healing items to characters who need them rather than relying on companion AI to use them.
