Summoners War: Building the Fuco and Woosa RTA Shield Core

To run the infinite shield core in Summoners War World Arena (RTA), pair Fuco (Wind Lich) with Woosa (Water Pioneer) to stack Woosa's teamwide barrier over Fuco's personal shield. When enemies attack Fuco, his passive inflicts an automatic Slow debuff even while Woosa's shield absorbs the incoming damage. Adding Angela (Fire Doctor) provides reactive healing to recover chip damage when barriers are breached.

How the Shield Engine Works

The core synergy relies on overlapping barriers that penalize opponents for taking offensive turns.

Woosa moves early: With a 118 base Speed, Woosa uses Wish to grant a three-turn Immunity buff and a large shield scaled to his maximum HP.
Fuco stacks personal bulk: Fuco's passive, Eye of the Dead, generates a personal shield at the end of every turn.
Passive crowd control triggers safely: When Woosa's shield sits on top of Fuco, enemy strikes still register against a shielded Fuco. This triggers Eye of the Dead to slow attackers without Fuco losing his own HP or personal barrier.

Rune Sets: Violent/Revenge or Violent/Destroy. Violent cycles turns to lower the cooldown on Deadly Sequence, while Destroy secures wins in prolonged matches against tanks.
Slot 2/4/6 Main Stats: Speed / Critical Damage / Attack% or Speed / Critical Damage / HP%.
Sub-Stat Priorities: Target at least 75% Critical Rate, followed by Speed, HP%, and Defense%. Added bulk prevents heavy hits from shattering his shield in a single turn.
Artifact Properties: Prioritize Additional Damage based on Speed, Attack, and HP on both artifact slots. Add Skill 2 Critical Damage and Damage Received from Fire/Water reduction to survive counter-element hits.

Fuco's Skill 2, Deadly Sequence, delivers random multi-hit strikes with defense break. Surviving behind Woosa's shield allows Fuco to apply these defense breaks repeatedly and eliminate high-priority enemy targets.

Woosa and Angela Stat Priorities

Support units must maintain shield uptime and stabilize the team against sustained incoming fire:

Woosa: Rune with Swift/Will or high-speed Violent/Will. Maximize Speed, HP%, and Resistance so he moves before opposing control units and casts Wish immediately.
Angela: Rune for survivability and Speed. Her reactive healing patches up chip damage that gets through Woosa's shield, resetting team health before opposing damage dealers can finish off weakened units.

Drafting Strategy and Matchups

Draft this composition when opponents pick fast, single-target damage dealers without whole-team buff removal.

Favorable Opponents: Pure speed-cleave drafts, squishy single-target control teams, and low-strip attackers such as Sonia or Miles. These units struggle to chew through stacked barriers, and attacking Fuco ruins their attack-bar flow with Slow debuffs.
Pick Order: Lock in Woosa early as a versatile first-pick support. Select flexible bruisers on picks 2 and 3, then draft Fuco on picks 4 or 5 after confirming the opponent lacks heavy multi-hit stripping power. Add Angela if the opponent doubles down on damage without sustained buff clear.

Direct Counters and Ban Priorities

Shield stacking creates distinct vulnerabilities against specific RTA archetypes. Manage your ban phase around these threats:

Whole-Team Strippers: Monsters like Moore, Chiwu, Juno, and Praha remove Woosa's shield and immunity simultaneously. Prioritize banning full-team strippers, or draft counter-picks like Leo or Haegang to interrupt their turn cycling.
Buff-Scaling Monsters: Bolverk turns active shields into teamwide HP drain. If the opponent picks Bolverk, ban him or abandon the shield engine immediately.
Ignore-Defense Cleaves: Extreme single-target ignore-defense damage can cut through Fuco before shields cycle. Maintain diverse elemental typing across the rest of your draft so single-target attackers cannot isolate Fuco freely.
