Collab originals in Summoners War are permanent, in-universe versions of limited-time collaboration monsters. They share identical base statistics, awakening bonuses, skill kits, and damage multipliers with their event counterparts, differing only in visual design, model animations, and name. If you missed a collaboration event, you can obtain these monster kits through regular summoning scrolls without any gameplay disadvantages.
How Collab Originals Compare to Event Monsters
Collab originals belong to the same internal monster family as the crossover units they mirror. Every numerical value—including base Speed, Health, Attack, Defense, skill cooldowns, and debuff activation chances—is identical across both versions of the same element.
| Feature | Event Collaboration Monster | Collab Original Monster |
|---|---|---|
| Base Stats & Scaling | Fixed by element and grade | Identical to event counterpart |
| Skills & Multipliers | Limited event kit | Identical to event counterpart |
| Summon Availability | Limited crossover window only | Permanent general summon pool |
| Internal Family Tag | Shared family | Shared family |
| RTA Team Selection | Cannot pair with original twin | Cannot pair with collab twin |
| Transmogrifications | Limited or collaboration-specific | Standard Summoners War skins |
How to Summon Collab Originals
Collab originals join the permanent summon table as natural 4-star and 5-star monsters across all standard summoning methods:
- Mystical and Elemental Scrolls: Summon Fire, Water, and Wind collab originals through standard scrolls.
- Legendary Scrolls: Provide guaranteed 4-star or 5-star outcomes that include the elemental originals.
- Light & Dark (LD) Scrolls: The primary method for summoning the Light and Dark variants of collab originals.
- Special Summon (SP) Feature: During an introductory release window, check the SP Summon box on the summon menu to direct your successful 4-star and 5-star pulls toward the new collab originals at an increased rate.
- Exclusive Summons: Collab originals periodically appear in the rotating 16-monster summon stone pools.
Cross-Feeding and Skill-Up Rules
Because original monsters and event units share an internal monster family, duplicate originals can be fed directly to event monsters (and vice versa) for guaranteed skill-ups.
- Preserve Devilmons: Use natural 4-star collab originals summoned from regular scrolls to level up the skills of your limited-edition 4-star collab monsters without spending Devilmons.
- Simultaneous Evolution: When evolving either a collaboration unit or an original monster, using copies from the matching family fulfills the evolution material requirement while granting a skill level for each duplicate used.
Drafting and Team Building Restrictions
Because both versions represent the same monster mechanically, specific rules govern their use across PvP and PvE game modes:
- World Arena (RTA) Duplicate Ban: RTA rules prevent drafting duplicate monsters from the same family. You cannot draft both the event version and the original version of the same monster onto the same five-monster team.
- Rune and Artifact Compatibility: Any established rune builds, turn orders, speed tunings, and artifact substats developed for an event monster function identically on its original counterpart. Control kits utilize Swift or Violent sets with high Speed and Accuracy, while damage dealers use Fatal, Rage, or Violent sets with appropriate Critical Rate and Critical Damage targets.
- Guild Siege Offenses: Unlike RTA, duplicate monsters can be built and used across separate attacks in Guild Siege and World Guild Battle, allowing you to use both the original and collab copies in different battle rounds.
