In Summoners War Patch 9.3.8, Com2uS introduced permanent, Sky Arena-native original versions of the limited-time Frieren: Beyond the Journey's End collaboration monsters. If you missed the original event, you can now summon their exact combat kits from standard scrolls. If you already own the collaboration monsters, you can use these new original units as direct duplicate skill-up materials.
Your immediate next step is to activate the SP Summon rate-up toggle before spending your Mystical Scrolls to prioritize collecting the new 4-star and 5-star families.
How Original Equivalents Work
The original monsters replace the collaboration visuals with Sky Arena fantasy designs while preserving identical combat mechanics. Each newly added unit matches its corresponding collaboration counterpart (Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, and Eisen) in the following areas:
- Base Stats and Speed: Exact numerical values across all grades and levels.
- Elemental Typings: Matching Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark assignments.
- Skill Kits and Multipliers: Identical passives, active skills, damage ratios, and debuff activation rates.
- Awakening Bonuses and Leader Skills: Identical stat increases, enhanced skills, and team leads.
Because only the appearance, names, and attack animations differ, established combat behavior, turn orders, and counter-strategies remain unchanged in both World Arena (RTA) and Guild Siege.

Cross-Family Skill-Up Rules
Original monsters and their collaboration versions are fully interchangeable as evolution and skill-up materials:
- Feeding Originals to Collabs: Feeding an original unit into an existing collaboration monster grants a random skill-up.
- Feeding Collabs to Originals: Feeding a collaboration duplicate into an original unit also grants a skill-up.
- Devilmon Conservation: Because the natural 4-star (Nat 4) original monsters are now permanent additions to the general pool, do not spend Devilmon on Nat 4 collaboration or original units. You can acquire duplicate skill-ups over time through regular scroll summons.
The Monster Book system tracks both versions under a linked progression record, ensuring that summoning an original unit satisfies collection tracking alongside the event version.
SP Summon Strategy and Scroll Usage
Patch 9.3.8 includes an SP Summon rate-up toggle for the new monster families. Activating this toggle does not increase your overall lightning rate; instead, it directs successful lightning pulls toward the newly introduced original monsters.
- Phase 1: Mystical Scrolls. Open standard Mystical Scrolls with the SP toggle enabled to secure your baseline Nat 4 originals and acquire duplicate skill-ups.
- Phase 2: High-Tier Scrolls. Once your Nat 4 roster is established, use Legendary Scrolls and All-Attribute Scrolls with the SP toggle active to target key Nat 5 originals, particularly Wind and Fire elemental kits used for turn control and defense breaks.
- Save Blessings for Targeted Summons: Keep high-tier blessings active while pulling on the SP banner to maximize your chances of choosing between new Nat 5 equivalents.
Guild Siege Duplicate Offenses
In Guild Siege, you cannot reuse the exact same individual monster on multiple offensive attacks, but you can build separate copies of the same kit. Because original units share identical skill sets and turn cycling with their collaboration counterparts, raising an original version allows you to deploy a duplicate offensive team with the exact same turn order and clear speed across different bases.
