The Trial of Water and Fire places dual environmental hazards across the arena floor that deal continuous area-of-effect damage. Surviving this encounter requires recognizing how each element behaves:
- Fire Zones: Trigger in static, predictable patterns across designated sections of the floor.
- Water Hazards: Expand outward or track your character's position directly.
Standing in the center of the arena leaves you vulnerable to overlapping zone damage. Stick to the outer edges of the arena to maximize your reaction time and limit the directions from which hazards can invade your position. Zoom your camera out fully to maintain vision of all incoming telegraphs across the room.
Defensive Cooldowns and Movement
Movement discipline is critical throughout the fight. Tanking continuous elemental ticks is not viable, so use short movements to clear hazard borders without stopping your damage output completely.

Because elemental ticks deal passive damage over time, mechanical dodging cannot overcome severe stat deficiencies. If your character consistently dies before the boss reaches 50% health, your base stats are below the recommended threshold.
