To progress efficiently through the prologue and early chapters of The Legend of Neverland, follow the Main Story Questline (MSQ) directly to Oak Town, equip and upgrade your first Flower Fairy as soon as she unlocks, and switch to manual movement to dodge telegraphed boss attacks.

Starter Class Selection

Character creation features four base classes. Your choice sets your combat range and clearing style during the opening campaign.

ClassCombat RoleEarly Campaign StrengthPlaystyle Fit
GladiatorMelee / DefenseHigh base HP; forgiving against incoming melee hitsDirect close-range combat with high survivability
RangerRanged Physical DPSRapid single-target burst and kiting capabilityEliminating single targets and bosses from a safe distance
ScholarRanged Magic / Area SupportWide area-of-effect (AoE) elemental spellsRapid clearing of multi-target enemy packs
CraftsmanMid-Range Burst / ControlSustained zone damage and heavy burst attacksTactical spacing and hybrid damage setups

For the fastest early quest progression, choose the Scholar to eliminate clustered story mobs quickly, or the Ranger to burn down elite chapter bosses while staying outside dangerous melee ranges.

Managing Tutorial Combat and Boss Encounters

Early story mobs fall quickly to basic attack chains and primary skills, but chapter bosses use wide, telegraphed attacks marked by red indicators on the ground. Leaving combat entirely on automatic during these encounters will cause your character to absorb avoidable hits and drain health reserves.

When fighting named bosses:

  1. Watch for the red telegraph zone filling on the ground.
  2. Tap the dodge roll button before the enemy's attack animation finishes.
  3. Reposition beside or behind the boss to continue your skill rotation without getting staggered.
  4. Save high-damage abilities when clearing the last minion wave before a boss so your best skills are off cooldown immediately.

Equipping and Upgrading Your First Flower Fairy

The Flower Fairy system unlocks during early story milestones in Cabala. Flower Fairies fight alongside your character, grant direct Combat Power (CP) through baseline attribute bonuses, and provide activated abilities.

  • Equip immediately: Place your first unlocked fairy directly into your active combat party slot.
  • Trigger active abilities: Use the fairy's skill icon near your attack buttons to clear large minion clusters or stagger an elite enemy.
  • Spend EXP items early: Do not hoard basic fairy enhancement materials. Funnel early EXP items into your active fairy right away to raise your character's attack, defense, and total HP.

Story Quest Routing and Account Upgrades

Stick strictly to the Main Story Questline until you reach an unavoidable level requirement. Grinding open-world mobs yields minimal experience compared to the large amounts awarded by narrative milestones and story instances.

  • Track the MSQ: Use the quest tracker on the left side of the screen to auto-navigate between objectives, but stay alert for interactive prompts that require manual input to investigate relics, pick up items, or confirm instanced domains.
  • Postpone life skills: Delay secondary activities such as fishing, gathering, and map exploration until the main story hits its first hard level gate.
  • Equip gear immediately: Open your inventory after major milestone completions and equip newly rewarded armor, weapons, and accessories to raise your CP.
  • Allocate skill points: Prioritize points into your primary AoE damage abilities first to speed up mob clearing, followed by single-target burst skills for bosses. Leave defensive passives at baseline levels until damage abilities hit their current level caps.
