To win pre-castle skirmishes during a Whiteout Survival State vs. State (SvS) war, scout the rival state's map for unshielded or under-garrisoned enemy cities, strike them quickly, and stop attacking immediately if your hospital nears capacity.

Target Selection and Scouting

Pre-castle attacks aim to accumulate kill points and force the enemy state to expend resources before the primary Sunfire Castle battle begins. Focus your attacks on vulnerable targets across the rival state map.

  • Scan for Unshielded Cities: Search the enemy map for targets with expired peace shields or cities where garrisons have been pulled for resource gathering.
  • Scout Before Launching Marches: Send a scout before committing your offensive marches to confirm garrison strength and prevent walking into reinforced trap cities.
  • Maintain Mobility: Use relocation items to teleport near targets and launch rapid strikes, then move again to prevent enemy forces from coordinating counter-marches against your Furnace.

Hospital Capacity and Troop Protection

The central risk during pre-castle skirmishes is exceeding your hospital capacity. Wounded units from offensive combat occupy hospital beds; once the hospital is full, any further casualties result in permanent troop deaths.

  • Monitor Wounded Units: Check your hospital after every engagement to track available bed space and healing queues.
  • Halt Attacks When Full: Disengage from combat and pause all marches immediately if hospital capacity approaches its limit.
  • Use Healing Speed-Ups: Clear hospital beds using speed-ups and alliance help before resuming offensive operations.

Alliance Coordination and Defense

Executing coordinated group strikes yields higher kill counts with fewer individual losses than uncoordinated solo attacks.

  1. Coordinate Target Callouts: Share coordinates of high-value or unshielded targets in alliance chat so multiple members can hit the target simultaneously.
  2. Disengage Strong Reinforcements: If an enemy city activates heavy reinforcements or defensive buffs during your approach, recall your march and pick another target.
  3. Shield When Inactive: Keep your own peace shield active whenever you are not actively marching or scouting to prevent retaliatory swarms.
