Woochi: Mini Yokai Hunters on PC follows Jeon Woo-chi, a troublemaking Taoist who can see yokai, as he wanders in search of his missing master. The journey is built around unexpected bonds: creatures that begin as enemies can become allies, turning the search for the truth into a steadily expanding adventure. Rather than treating every encounter as a disposable obstacle, the game makes recruitment part of the story. You can gather more than 40 characters from four races—Humans, Beast-Folk, Yokai, and Celestials—and each new companion adds another chapter to Woo-chi’s travels. That premise gives the game a clear progression rhythm: explore unfamiliar territory, overcome its challenges, meet potential allies, and strengthen the group for the next region.

The field is the center of that loop. With one-hand controls, you move through broad areas, chop wood, gather ores, and open paths leading to brand-new regions. On PC, a larger display makes it easier to read the surrounding field and keep track of routes, blocked paths, and resource-gathering opportunities while moving through an area. Keyboard-and-mouse input also suits repeated actions such as navigating between points, collecting materials, and returning to previously opened sections without having to manage everything through a small touchscreen interface. The result is a more comfortable way to work through the practical side of exploration while keeping the focus on discovering what lies beyond the next cleared path.

Combat is organized around a substantial squad rather than a single hero. Up to 10 allies can roam the field and fight side by side, allowing team construction and synergy effects to shape how you approach battles. With a full roster drawn from four races, the important decision is not simply which characters are strongest, but how your selected companions work together. A larger PC screen helps when reviewing a group of 10, comparing available allies, and reading the information needed to assemble a team with useful synergy. Mouse selection and keyboard navigation can also make repeated squad-management tasks clearer, especially when moving between the field, training, and other village systems. The game’s deployment of the entire squad gives preparation a meaningful role before a fight begins, while the steady recruitment of new characters keeps that planning process changing over time.

Your village provides the longer-term structure behind the expedition. New allies are summoned in the Mountains, their potential is unlocked on the Training Grounds, and resources are mined at the Quarry. These facilities connect collection to progression: materials gathered while exploring feed into improvements, recruits gain room to develop, and the village becomes a practical base for preparing the next journey. The system is also designed to reduce the need to repeat identical battles simply to make progress. Even when you are offline, your heroes continue to grow and generate offline rewards, which you can collect before setting out again with stronger companions. On PC, the larger interface is useful for checking those rewards, evaluating upgrades, and managing village activities without crowding the broader field view.

There is more to the journey than the main field routes. Woochi: Mini Yokai Hunters includes 200 stages, six types of dungeons, Arena PvP, and Guild Raids, giving the roster and village systems several different challenges to support. Exploring the fields and peeling back the fog expands the world, while dungeons provide additional objectives and Arena PvP and Guild Raids add competitive and cooperative goals beyond the regular adventure. Taken together, these modes make collection, squad planning, resource management, and exploration parts of one connected progression cycle: recruit former foes, develop them at home, deploy a carefully built team, and continue the search for Woo-chi’s missing master.
