Zombie Night Terror: How to Beat the Mafia Boss in Family Business

To defeat the Mafia Boss in the Family Business level of Zombie Night Terror, bypass his frontal line of sight entirely. Use a Bomber mutation to blow open the wooden ceiling directly above his private office, then drop your zombies straight down onto him to lock him in melee combat before he can fire.

Mafia Boss Attack Pattern and Vulnerabilities

A frontal charge down the executive suite's main corridor will wipe out your horde. The Mafia Boss wields a rapid-fire Tommy gun that fires continuous horizontal bursts across a wide arc, shredding multiple walkers at once. Unlike standard guards, he possesses high health and does not stagger from frontal bites during his firing animation.

However, the boss has two critical mechanical blind spots:

• No vertical defense: He cannot aim or fire upward.
• Turn delay: Reorienting to attack targets behind or beside him requires a noticeable repositioning pause.

Exploiting these blind spots requires reaching the floor above his office rather than breaching his barricaded front doorway.

Clearing Bodyguards and Gathering DNA

Before staging the boss ambush, clear the lower floors to build your horde headcount and collect enough DNA for required mutations. Bodyguards armed with revolvers and shotguns hold choke points throughout the lower perimeter.

1. Station Overlords at intersections: Convert a zombie into an Overlord blocker to halt the main horde behind walls or inside stairwells, keeping them out of enemy firing lanes.
2. Bait enemy reloads: Release one or two disposable walkers ahead to draw gunfire. Once the guards enter their reload cycle, send the rest of the pack forward to overwhelm them.
3. Infect defenseless staff: Bite isolated civilians, accountants, and bartenders in side offices to replenish lost units and expand your DNA pool.
4. Collect canisters: Pick up glowing green DNA canisters hidden in out-of-the-way security vaults to ensure you have enough resources for explosive mutations.

Breaching the Ceiling with Bombers

Direct corridors leading into the Don's room are barricaded, making the Bomber mutation mandatory for creating an entry point.

Climb to the floor above the boss's suite and locate the weak, breakable floorboards directly over his desk. Transforming a zombie into a Bomber initiates a timed countdown before it explodes. Factor in the zombie's movement speed and fuse duration so the blast connects directly with the breakable surface rather than reinforced steel walls. Detonating this section removes the boss's defensive cover and opens a vertical chute directly above him.

Executing the Vertical Drop

Once the ceiling is open, place an Overlord on the upper rafters to redirect the horde into the breach.

• Bypass the firing arc: Zombies falling through the ceiling land directly on top of the boss within melee grapple range, preventing him from winding up his Tommy gun.
• Overwhelm targeting logic: Multiple zombies landing in rapid succession split his attention. Even if he strikes down the first unit, subsequent zombies latch onto him from his blind side.
• Deliver burst damage: To accelerate the kill, mutate one of the falling zombies into a Bomber just before it lands. The resulting blast deals massive burst damage directly to the boss while he is pinned.

DNA Resource Management

Mutations in Family Business are limited by your available DNA. Wasting explosive units on standard enemies can leave you stranded without the resources needed to breach the final room.

Save enough DNA for at least two strategic Bomber mutations. Once your horde is staged above the office, breach the ceiling and drop the pack immediately to finish the encounter.
