At level 8 in Aniimo, your home base unlocks worker slots that automate resource gathering and crafting. To set up base production efficiently without freezing your main party, assign dedicated secondary creatures with matching work traits directly to station management slots.

How to Assign Creatures to Workstations

To automate production, approach any active base station and interact with its management menu. You must assign creatures whose work proficiencies match the station's required task type.

  1. Open the station's management interface to view its required work type (such as harvesting, smelting, or crafting).
  2. Open your available creature list and select a creature displaying a matching proficiency icon.
  3. Place the creature into the station's worker slot to initiate automated labor.

Assigning creatures with low or unmatched work traits drastically reduces production speed, creating resource bottlenecks for gear and base upgrades.

Strategic Worker Placement and Care

Maximizing base output requires organizing your layout and maintaining worker upkeep:

  • Workplace Proximity: Build creature resting areas and food troughs adjacent to workstations. Shorter travel distances between labor stations and recovery spots minimize downtime.
  • Proficiency Matching: Assign specialized creatures with high single-trait stats to core stations. Reserve multi-trait creatures for minor or fill-in tasks.
  • Fatigue and Hunger: Keep an eye on worker health, hunger, and stamina bars. If production stalls, check the base log—exhausted or hungry creatures stop working until their needs are met.
  • Infrastructure Limits: Do not assign more workers than your level 8 slot capacity allows. Overcrowding small spaces causes creature pathfinding congestion, slowing down overall output.

Separating Combat and Base Labor Teams

A creature assigned to a home base workstation cannot join your active combat team for open-world exploration or dungeon runs. If you assign your primary battle team to gather or craft, you must manually remove them before leaving base.

To keep your adventuring party ready at all times, catch and retain a secondary roster designated strictly for base labor. Base workers only require strong work-aptitude stats, allowing you to save your highest-level combat creatures exclusively for exploration.
